Hey everyone, glad to be apart of the Hammer family. As you can tell by my screen name, I just recently purchased a Hammer Hawg Zilla about 8 hours ago. Its a big upgrade from my Ebonite Gyro Pro which is about 13 years old and my Columbia 300 Black Shadow, which is also pretty ancient. I got each of those balls for $2.00 and $10.00, and have been bowling with them for about 3 years. I just bowled on the Summer league here in my town and averaged a 197 with them, which if I might add isnt that bad considering I have bowled in a league in about 11 years, since I was 10. Back when I lived in Illinois, I bowled for 2 years, and averaged a 145 when I was 9 and a 155 when I was 10. I then moved to Tennessee where I live now and just got back into league bowling this past Summer.

I guess this aint a very responsive forum. Anyways, I bowled for the first time with the ball tonight and shot a 233, not too bad for a new ball. 5 strikes in a row made me happy, then I spared a few times, but rest strikes. I think I can average about a 220 this winter, which is my goal for winter league.

I was really thinking about getting the Black Widow, but I leaned more towards the Hawg Zilla, and thats what I got. I would mind throwing a Black Widow just to see how it compares. 220 is gonna be a task. In the summer league, the high average was around 200, but the Winter leagues always have way more competition. I think about 20 people out of the 88 on the Winter league average over a 200, so gonna be some stiff competition.

i was thinking about getting the Hawgzilla, couldtn decide between the two, decided to get the Widow since it was more polished, which is usually better on sport shot

Your lucky, there isnt any Sport Bowling leagues around here. I might check within a bigger radius, because I really wanna try out the Sport Bowling. Its kinda like a step up towards the PBA.
