hey i hope some people can give me some suggestions for some new balls to add to my arsenal. although i love my widows, the anger, and the supernova, i would like to continue to add. one ball that i know for a fact that i want is the no mercy. i will drill it for the heaviest of oil. another ball that i want has to be for dry conditions. i'm looking at the hammer blue vibe. if anyone reading this has the blue vibe and has it drilled for REALLY dry conditions please can post pictures or tell me how you have it drilled? i would really appreciate it. next problem...trying to get hammer to make a 6 ball roller :D

Instead of the blue vibe I would get the cherry vibe. I have my cherry vibe drilled to for lemgth andreacts nicely. As one for the heavy oil I would look at the Raw Anger or the NMB. I have both balls drilled for length and agressive backend and they react just fine on the heavy oil.

I have seen a lot of posts and Hammer claims the NMB is for heavy oil. It prob says Med to Heavy and I for one think its a med oil ball. It gets through the so clean that it goes forever. I used the #1 drilling. I think the Resurgence is the best heavy oil ball I have thrown to this date

HbHammerhead, i think ur Raw Anger is a better ball than the No Mercy. For dry your best bet will to go with old uerathanes, or if u can find one a slate blue gargoyle by visionary or the pure hammer by, u guessed it, hammer

I would go with the Cherry Vibe, instead of the blue vibe, IMO the Blue Vibe is more of a medium oil ball. The Cherry works well on dry.

I agree the Anger is a better ball than the NM. I hated the NM

Personally the No Mercy (Original is one of the best balls I have owned, especially for being asymetrical). Personally, I think with the No Mercy you need to find the right No Mercy for your desired drilling.

Heavy Oil balls (when drilled right for each bowler):
No Mercy Beat'n
No Mercy
Black Widow (Might need a agressive drill*)
Raw Hammer Anger

Dry Lane Balls
Cherry Vibe
Raw Hammer Toxic (this will have to be drilled weaker*)

*For some bowler to find usable for these conditions

I heard the original No Mercy is better because of more midlane roll.

Think most people agree that a stronger Mid-Lane roll is better for oil, but both balls are useable for Heavy, if you can adjust. Plus it depends on intereptation of heavy oil vs light oil...

so by looking at both of the vibes, i'm assuming that the cherry is the newer of the two. i'm leaning more towards the cherry now that i have had a couple people tell me that it's better than the blue. as for the no mercy, i don't think that i will have a problem getting it to perform in heavy oil. i have a black widow with an aggressive drill and that thing hooks like a beast on oil. i haven't been hearing anything really that great about the no mercy beat n' and when looking a videos of it thrown (buddiesproshop.com, etc.) it looks like the no mercy out hooks the beat n'. i'm also looking at the g force by lane 1. it is their heavy oil ball right now. i have a g force supernova and i plan on getting the new xp from them as well, so i guess that would be a good lane 1 arsenal with the inclusion of the crystal clear diamond. what about the no mercy compared to a hawg zilla or the real deal? i have an anger already and i'm pretty happy with it, unfortunately when i bought it was my first and it is a 14 pounder.

cherry vibe and _____________ (no mercy, hawg zilla, the real deal, g force)

Since you already want a NM, you need a dry lane ball from what you already said that you have, so the cherry vibe would be a good choice.

One thing to remember, just because the ball is newer doesn't mean it's going to be the most productive for you refering to the cherry vibe vs. the blue vibe.

Unless people who you've been talking to have thrown both balls honestly (without the human error aspect) you probably find that both are about equal if not the same performance wise, and it's all about the feel and comfort level a person has in the ball which makes it effective.

The difference between the Blue and Cherry Vibe is arch vs longer. Everybody here states that both balls are stronger than expect. The which is probably more so on the Blue, due to the CT cover.

i havent thrown any vibe or NM but just thought I'd add, I'm gettin a spare ball and possibly a BWS for my birthday. My bro's roommate bought the BWS about a year ago and never got it drilled! whats even better he said he would sell it for only $80!!!
