I have decided to drop from 16 lb. balls to 15lb. balls. My pro-shop guy is ordering me a toxic and anger with 3" pins and he will be drilling both of them "rico" style. I figured i could just use my 16 lb. big blue spare to pick up 10 pins, since i don't use it much anyways. I'll let you guys know how it goes

The weight differential make a big deal then most people understand. Godd luck, hopefully it wont be a issue. Just dont leave 10 pins. :D

I didn't think anyone still drilled a rico ball anymore. I can't remember the last time I saw someone throwing any ball with a rico layout in it. Uh.......3 years ago at a gig in Chucktown,as I recall the guy didn't do very well with it then. Failed to cash.

I have used a 16 Lb spare along with all 15 lb strike balls for a couple of years, with no ill-effect. Just start with the spare ball a little lower so as to throw it a little slower and I find the extra weight helps me throw it straighter.

I just firgured i'd hold off on buying a 15 lb. spare ball until i know for sure i need one. I figure the 1 lb. isn't going to make a difference since i only use it a few times a game.
