I'd like to see what you all have to say on what makes a person a HammerHead.

I am going to be honest with you SinCity, I thought being a HammerHead meant being loyal to Hammer Brand equipment and only using them and nothing else. But that all changed when I saw the determination and the passion for you to get your Hammer balls back from the Bottom of the lake.
But other than that, is like I said , being loyal to Hammer Brand equipment and knowing the product fits your game Like it does Mine. That's why I am loyal to Hammer and other factors. All I can say is Thank You Hammer and Mr. Graham for putting top of the line equipment in our hands. I will be a HammerHead for life.

A person that likes to throw hammers. That's it, not even hammers exclusive.
But Sin you can write the book on what makes a hardcore hammer head...

A parson that likes to throw hammers. That's it, not even hammers exclusive.
But Sin you can write the book on what makes a hardcore hammer head... Thank you i was waiting for somebody to say that. I was going to but didn't feel like getting bashed for it.
I personally like and agree with what Rowdy has said in the past about what makes a Hammerhead. It's not just what you throw but the attitude you bring along with it.
Sin - What will you do if you never find your Hammers? I really hope you do find them.

You can't "buy" your way into becoming a HammerHead. It's an attitude and a passion. You are the baddest mother on the lanes. You will take no prisoners. You do not need excuses. You will demolish the rack with every ball. You will throw every shot as though it may be your last. You will let your bowling shut the loudmouth up. You and your Hammers can and will conquer any and all lane conditions. You bowl to win. You roll Hammer. That's what makes you a HammerHead.
P.S. Brian, feel free to use this in an ad.

"What makes a HammerHead"
I use to believe and believe it was someone that was loyal to the Hammer brand ONLY, and lived and died with Hammer. But now, I have a view different believes it:
It's a person who follows his dream from seeing the product the first time on ESPN and always wanted a Hammer but couldn't afford it and waited until the time he or she could to finally have that Hammer in hand and use it for the first time and see why Hammer was so worth the wait.
A HammerHead is someone who isn't afraid to go against the advice for his or her friends that want you to follow in not only their footsteps, but the masses of them using storm at the leagues they are in, and goes with Hammer instead.
Someone who knows when they go to the league and are armed with their Hammers, they know that one of their best games can be had at any given time.
Someone who uses storm/b/morich/columbia300 equipment, and goes and buys him or herself a Hammer ball to try and they use the Hammer ball in the clutch when they know they need something big to happen, In my opinion makes them a HammerHead. *Cuz in the clutch, nothing hits like a Hammer.
Like rowdy mentioned about attitude, that attitude comes because your using Hammer and you feel and hear the power of the Hammer ball when it leaves your hand and in those few seconds of no real noise when you hear the ball rolling to the pocket, and then you hear that loud boom of it hitting the pocket.
If your new to bowling and took your time emailing each major company asking for advice, and you get "The Man Brian Graham"'s email suggesting to you and giving you logical reasons why the balls was chosen by him for you, and you listen and buy them, Your a HammerHead. *Because Brain Graham is so good and returning emails promptly, you won't even bother with the others because it will usually be a month or longer later before you get a reply.
What makes a Die Hard HammerHead: Someone who has nothing but Hammers, uses only the Hammer name on everything from Bag to Balls to Grip Sacks & Towels that you can get from the pro shop, then goes on ebay and finds more Hammer stuff from keychains and patches that are the same as the pro wears and makes sure to flaunt the fact he or she is a HammerHead to ALL the storm fruit-booty fart sniff & scratch ball users that need a smell to focus that damn near every league has a majority of in them.
Also, when they get a strike, they make sure to let everyone lanes over each side "That nothing hits like a Hammer" so don't even try to step up.
A HammerHead also MAKES the other team earn a victory no matter how bad the game is that night.

I guess it don't help to be 5 sheets to the wind for drinking mass amount of beer all day and night when posting that, and then asking the new g/f to spell check it all after she tries to put you in bed since you passed out twice coming up with all that huh?
Though it was well worth the hangover.
Anyway, after reading what I've put up, I'm man enough to stand by it without changing it because it's things that I have either done myself, had to deal with or seen first hand at other casino's where Hammerheads was being mistreated by friends and even family because they didn't follow them using storm or b.
I just laughed at it because I remembered having to go through it myself when my family tried getting me to use only b because it was being made in the town that they was all born at in Muskegon Michigan. And this went on for quite some time in my family since I broke some unwritten family tradition by getting Hammer over b.

I've only been bowling for five years can I qualify as a hammer head?
This is why I throw hammers: In my first league I was cupping a house ball and had a 140 average. The best bowler in our league was also on our team. He threw a black hammer and always threw down and in. He averaged 200 every night and was quite. He never got excited, and when ever any one talked trash he just started striking.
I got my first ball in the form of a gift certificate that year for Christmas. I went to the pro shop to get a ball and he told me to do my own research. So I did and I knew it had to be a blade reactive pearl. Took me two weeks to relearn how to throw it but that ball was amazing (and I still put up a 213 Monday with it in game 3). I started shooting 180s (easy Christmas tree). After a few hammer bags and a maxim, my next ball was a storm. I bought a storm cause I went to a hammer demo day when the big blues just came out and the viscous where just phasing out. I'm not sure if it was the lane conditions but at that time all the balls I tried didn't quite match up. The big blue pearl had less hook than my Blade so I decided to try a storm (hey you don't know until you try). The storm, never worked for me and I always regretted not getting "The Deal" (which came out after the demo day, but I still had a bad taste in my mouth). Well we moved back to Canada and to a new house with harder lane conditions. Our pro shop is small and they didn't even stock hammers, I would see one or two old ones in league. Turns out the Blade sanded rocked in this house. I joined the hardest league the house offered that had a sportish shot (modified house for sure). Then got a Big block diesel, knew I couldn't gamble with other crappy brands. Started entering tournaments and won a total of $280 in my first three tournaments. The new league was high competition and I was able to get high score in my class and won a bunch of cash. Next year picked up a Hawgzilla shot my first 300, had my class high score and high series and people hated bowling against me. But I never rub it in, I support them and always try to throw my best.
This year I ordered a No Mercy Beat'n through my Canadian pro shop. Well they started to finally bring in hammers. They got a few angers, BWS and BWPs in with my ball. Now there's BWS, BWP, Anger, NM, NMB, Toxic and a Doom on display! My proshop guy admitted to me Monday that he started believing in hammer again after he drilled my No Mercy Beat'n and saw how well it preformed.
I am a student of the game of bowling, not a cocky SOB, but I thrive on competition. I have a lot of room to grow as a bowler and always strive to learn new things. I choose hammer balls that I feel will enhance my game. Once I feel hammer isn't providing that edge then I will move on, but with BG in the mix I highly doubt that will ever happen.

Ya Can-Ham, your a HammerHead without a doubt.
I'll never switch from Hammer. In time I might try a different companies ball down the road, but it will never find a place in my Hammer bag or even have a shot at being in it for that matter.
