I average about 185 with a down-and-in shot. I used to have a Big Blue Pearl and a Black Hammer. Last year, the Big Blue Pearl cracked after leaving it in the car overnight (by mistake).

I have been going along fine with the Black Hammer, as it picks up roll and hits really hard for me.

Lately, the lane conditions have changed to the point that it seems this ball is picking up it's roll too soon and I am having to move my feet left to keep from going through the nose.

What's a good ball for my line that will give me more length which can be used on the drier conditions?

Thanks.

That sounds to me like the recipe for a Purple Vibe or possibly a Doom. But, I'm no expert. What does everyone else think?

I like the Doom but I also think ths Black Widow drilled for a lengthy skid/flip reaction with some polish on it would also work. It all depends on the speed of the ball and the amount of rev you put on it

What's the difference between a Blu or Purple Vibe?

I throw both the Hawg (standard drilling) and the Black Widow (skid/flip) down & in off of the 5th board and they both rip pins apart.

Purple Vibe's coverstock is more for a skid/flip type setup where the Blue is more condusive to a stronger arc

I actually have thrown about 9 games of practice with my new Hawg Zilla, and I seem to get pretty good results with the down and in shot, it shreds the rack to pieces. I can also throw it more left to right and it comes back just fine.
