Is it just me, or would anyone else buy some of the old school Faball hammer equipment if Ebonite started to re-release them. I would love to have another black hammer, pearl blue hammer, red hammer, pink hammer, powder blue hammer....etc...etc. I love the old urethane equipment. Everything now is made to hook out of this world.....and I just don't want/like the new stuff. Growing up all i used were Hammer bowling balls! When you threw your hammer, you knew how it would react every time. And when you threw one of your hammers in practice, just by throwing that, you could tell what your others would do if you used them. So adjusting with them was also very nice and easy.

Just wondered what everyone else thought. If you look on Ebay, you see 20 year old NIB black hammers going for at least $110 dollars.

I still have and use my blue pearl (faball) and powder blue ureathene (faball) I would love to have a pink hammer. I have a ball called the axe it's a black ball with the initials JPF John P. Fabanovich, Hammer creator (Please correct me if I'm wrong) with the help of my first pro shop guru Chuck Linden, I don't think the ball was that popular but I have one!

I also still have my urethane blue Hammer,,,,don't throw it anymore- it's a mantel piece.....But, yes I'd love to have a black Hammer & a red Hammer, not so much to use, but as display items (hint, hint, if anyone has either for sale).

I have a red hammer that my mother used to throw. I love it, use it for the dry stuff and when it hits, it's time for some hearing protection cuz it's right loud.

I still use my old blue hammer and blue pearl for my spare ball. I'm looking to buy a new Hawg to replace my blue hammer, but will never stop using my pearl. I actually had the guy at the pro shop of my bowling alley tell me he'd buy a pearl and use it himself if he could find one.

I used to have 3 Hammers balls all drilled the same ( leverage axis ) A Blue Hammer, A Black Hammer, and Pink.
This was back in the mid 90's this was a great combination and it was easy to pick the right ball for the lane condition. I quit bowling for about 10 years and had since gotten rid of those balls. I wish I still had them as I see no differance in the newer balls ( scoring wise for me ) All that new balls do is hook more in my opinion. Yes I do use the newer balls and they work ok, but it is MUCH more difficult to figure out which ones would make a good arsnel to have.:)
I purchaed a USED:eek: blue hammer on Ebay the ball is drilled label and has zero top weight, less than 1/8th side weight. This balls is awesome on dryer conditions. It rolls early and does not have a big backend and hits like a stick of dynamite ! I shot my best scores last year when using this ball. The best thing was when you seen me using this ball you had to know the lanes were tough, and while most others were struggling I was shooting lights out ! I found an old black hammer that was sitting on the rack at a bowling center in town. I am considering drilling this one up as well. If you look on Ebay you can still find these balls. There was a guy on Ebay a few months ago that had some new old stock hammers. for sale. They were going for over $150.00 plus shipping !!
These balls originally sold new for about $99.00.
