i have a 3 ball carrier and i have found it alot easier to just leave my bag in the back of my trailblazer, now i know during the summer my equipment let a little bit of the oil out, but basicly i was just wondering if the cold weather will have any effect on the balls (good or bad) and the way they will perform?

Performance difference? I dunno. But...
It's not a good idea to leave your gear in your vehicle and expose those to temperature extremes. Since ball cores and ball covers are made of different materials they will heat and cool at different rates. This heating and cooling will, of course, cause contraction and expansion. Since this is happening at different rates, you run the risk of cracking and/or core separation. It's not always convenient, but I'm not willing to risk it so I always bring my gear inside.

The shop that has been drilling my Hammers lately has a WHOLE rack of balls that the covers are cracked & some are missing chunks,,,,,,from being left in vehicles during the middle of summer and/or winter.

Leaving your equiptment in the summer and winter will get you new equiptment before you want new equiptment. The only way that I would leave my equiptment in my car was if I were a rich person.

other than the balls cracking, which has never happened to me when I have forgotten to bring them in. Your bowling ball if left in the extreme cold of winter will actually sweat during play as they warm up causing you to have a wet bowling ball and the thumb hole will also be wet inside and there is no telling what could happen to your hand if you got stuck while releasing.

I used to keep my balls in the trunk, until I found out about them cracking and what not. That and I like to race alot, so that extra weight doesnt help any. :D
