UPS just dropped off my new shoes. They seem a little snug, but I think it's just because they are brand new. They are a half a size bigger than my old ones. I think they might just be stiff. Do you guys think I'll just need to work into them?

Perhaps I missed it, but what kind of shoes?

Your best bet is to just play a few games with them, see if they break in or not. Ive had a pair of SST4s that needed to be broke in a bit before they were comfortable for me.

But it also depends on how snug is snug, and where are they snug at?

At the sides a little bit. The only real problem is the width, but I'm pretty sure that once I bowl a few games they will start to feel better. I'm gonna go to bowl a few soon.

Like any shoe that's has leather , they need to break in alittle. I bought a new pair of Dexter's and it took a few games to break them in. Now the shoes are comming apart and time to get a new pair after two seasons .

^ that was my problem with 3 pairs of Dexter shoes I had.. So I finally decided to try a different brand. Dyno-Thane Dynorooz Sport Ultra. So far I love these shoes, well see how they hold up compared to the previous Dexter shoes ive had.

if they dont break-in like you want them to, take them to a shoe repair shop and they can stretch them for you.

I just emailed Dexter and explained the problem to them. The uppers are seperating from the lowers after only 1 year of use. Maybe they will do something and replace them

Just got back. After the first game or two, they started to feel good. Still bowled like crap though. I feel like my timing is off and everything. Nothing feels right when I bowl, and that's the way I have felt for the past month.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is not go for a few weeks. You can be suffering "burnout" without knowing it. Do this. Line up subs for your league(s) for 1 week. Just take an entire week off. Don't even goto the bowling alley in your off hours.

You'd be surprised what it can do for your game.

I was going thru the same thing after this summer and the best thing I ever did was take the 3 weeks in between leagues and NOT BOWL.

Wear them around the house. That will break them in a little.

All 3 pairs of Dexter Performance Bowling Shoes I've owned fit greta from the get go, no breaking time what so ever. But they all have wore out faster than they should have IMO.

Remember get those to a shoe shop to get metel eyelets put in towards the tope holes on each shoe. Several people I know have has them rip out. Mine have, may do it mine, just incase I ever need a back pair of shoes.
