anyone got any tips on how they prevent them (odd question I know) :D thx

Show up early and bowl a game before league starts. Even if you sit down and rest 15 minutes before league warm-ups start your muscles are already loosened up and your league warm-ups will get you loosened up again quickly.

Then your first league game will be your 2nd game you bowl.

However, you can't always do that if your league follows directly after another. I just try to stay relaxed and stretched so my muscles are arent tight when I first start.

True; I always stretch out as well (excellent advice) but am fortunate that I am bowling the first league of the night and only work 2 miles from the center where I am currently bowling.

I can leave work and be in the bowling center approximately 50 minutes before league starts so I have plenty of time to loosen up and throw 10 frames.
