Son made the bowling team. :)
He practices in a virtually unoiled house. Every kid on the team complains about the arid conditions.:(
Yesterday he came home and told me he was using his new plastic spare just to hit the pocket:confused: and I don't want him wearing that out so soon...
So what ball and drill's do we look at for this?
all his matches with other schools are on these lanes.

I'd look at one of the Scout balls. I had the old black one with the red lettering about 5 years ago. I really liked that ball.

I don't understand. Plastic balls are the most durable so theres little chance of him wearing it out, and if he does then they're cheap to replace. If the lanes are that bad a reactive ball would be shot in no time at all.

Please forgive me for what I'm about to do but Hammer doesn't make balls like this... yet...
If the lanes are that dry, I would look into one of two items...

The video shows both the crystal and the clear, but and it doesn't matter which one you get. The point is that they're hardshell polyester balls with high performance cores. Extra hitting power. That ball didn't hook bad at all considering that it's plastic and what they were rolling on was a fresh house shot.

If that doesn't strike your fancy, and you want something with alittle more umph than that, go with something out of the Hammer Pure line.... a good urethane is a swell thing to have in your arsenal, anyway.

Thanks Josh, will keep it in mind.
Here's a thought, how about an old 14lb BWS soaked in baby oil with a weak drill pattern??
no hold's barred here

Does this BWS have a weight hole in it already? If not why not have a hole put in it to give it almost 1 oz of neg side weight. And then oil soak it .

Don't have an old BWS #14 yet, will have to scour ebay and local pro shops to find one. Neet idea!
What's puzzeling is that this house wont put any oil down??

Rats!! Thanks for looking Steve. we'll keep an eye on the ebay BWS and look for some of Josh's suggestions also. Since it's 14# he wont be throwing it next year so maybe the board members will tolerate him using an off brand unitll he's throwing all 15#.
cherry vibe an option????
