Hi All, I have a question that I know you guys can help me with... I collect the old faballs and I have a few that r dink up bit... I asked my pro shop guy if he could resurfaced the balls without damaging the hammer and faball logo's... He reply no, that the logo's would fade out... Is that correct?
No way to repair the ball without the fade out... Thanks guys...

The logo would probably fade BUT you can get an engraver and make it more prominent. As long as you don't plan on using the ball again. After you engrave it you can use the ole white crayon and clean trick and it works like a charm.

I've used Testors model paint with great success on my no mercy. It's been a couple months now and it's gone through two surface adjustments and shows no sign of fading/chipping/cracking/peeling.

the logos are pretty deep, so anyone that resurfaces them to the point of removing or weaing them down needs to find another job. Also, any proshop that puts names on the balls has the ability to use the same paint pen or crayon type to fill in the logos.

I have 2 3D offset pearl balls from Faball. I have resurfaced them several times. I have one that had several deep nicks in it, but I did a deep resurface job on it, and it looks and works great. You may lose a bit of the logo after a few resurface jobs, but the ball still works well. And you dont need the logo for a ball to be legal. You just need to be able to read the serial number. If you want to color in the logo, model paint from a hobby store works great.

......But it cannot be more than .010" out of round
