I had a ball(not happy about something else).... tech told me the length was 48ft... with sh** loads and more sh** loads of oil in the head... they modified the pattern... they said it was a 38ft pba pattern that they used Indiana???
.... but that didnt matter me.... This is the longest pattern i have ever bowled on... most amount of oil i have ever bowled on....
this was also the centre of 1 of the international staffers and hammers Distributor for australia and he was there... so i asked him a couple of questions about the bite and whats the difference etc... and he said... wanna pre order one... i'm like nah not atm i'm already getting a black widow clear atm(which i seen today... omg it looks cool)... and he said... oh well have fun getting one and he asked me who am i getting it off.... i said my guy who i get the stuff off right... and he basicly went off at me for not supporting him.... then we went inside the pro shop and something came up about hammers again etc and i said well i'm mad about the hammer balls etc... and then i got back from him.... "no your not you dont buy balls off the hammer distributor", so at this stage i was getting a lil bit annoyed.... only reason i dont go to him is because he is too $$$$... i can get a beatn for $250 drilled and then he is selling them for $380 drilled... do the maths? where would u go? so he treated me like sh**, for supporting the brand...... and i thought well he is doing a great job....
anyway back to the bowling
I first got out my 2 black widows and my red pearl... practise got called....
grabbed my black widow.... just chucked it seems i was a lil bit cold... i normally get a lil bit of reaction of it... dead straight got the 10 pin... so i added some more hand on the same spot... hit the 6 pin... i'm like holy sh**... there is finally some oil... so i adjusted about 20 boards right and aimed over 10 board... skid skid skid skid skid skid skid skid skid....... **** me... lol.... 15 board..... finally some hook... but it wasnt good enough... so i adjusted my hand release and speed.. bang bang bang... strikes... practise finished....
i was lucky enough to bowl with a 2007 Australia Rep!... i was feeling comfortable. to me it just felt like normal bowling(in my mind) first shot strike.. woot... nice way to strike off... next lane.. miss to the right... thought to myself(no ditch) lol... so spared it up... strike again... missed pocket again... so i was sitting on the tenth frame.... no strikes on the right lane... but never missed on the left lol tenth frame i doubled on the right lane.. finished off with 193... lanes started to change abit.. scored went down abit... 4th of 5th game... i think the 4th... lanes changed heaps.. and i didnt catch onto it in time... like 4 splits in a row!.... ball change... black widow pearl... another split(4 count)... so after first 5 frames open... i sat down... and just thought ok... track area most be drying up... and i looked to see where everybody else was bowling!... i thought to myself u dumb sh** brett.... move right u idiot! lol... so i picked up my black widow again.... light pocket hit... left the 4 pin.... i missed the 4 pin!.. so i got just a tad annoyed about now... but i knew i was in the right area... couple of spares later and 1 strike... i finished with 119...
lanes got a tad dry... i got out my total nv... 6th game i got it out... bang strike... hmm... another one... bang... strike... another one... bang.... 7-10!... lol... so i finished up that game right... and finished up... i finished with a 159.75 ave for 8 games... which i thought for my first sport spot being almost the toc length. i did quite well.. and i'm going back next yr for more!
so now i have 1 or 2 questions..
how do you work out quicker when the lane is in that change where it is changing major? thats one thing i really need to work on..
