Being a golf clubfitter is probably keeping me from panicing right now.
My black widow pearl which I have bowled with maybe 30 games has been retired in favor of my old mamoth. No drive great straight spare ball but for $200?. Im terribly dissapointed in this ball, wnted to carry long and hook late but leaving 5 pins and 10 pins like crazy. clean it after every night and wipe it off after every shot. Can anything be done with this ball to make it hook more? Im very disapointed in this ball. averaged 192 on wood lanes tough scoring house with this ball had series of 389, 412, the rest low 500s and 1 lone 627 oil isw medium not heavy on lanes. Ball is drilled with a weight hole on side, not much knowledge onball drilling.
HELP.

Well what I did to make it hook more was take it down to 2000 grit abralon. You can take it to your local pro shop and have them do it or you can do it by yourself if you have the pads. At 2000 this is a totally different ball and it hooks hard.

While the Bw series is a great series IMHO, it still needs to have some amount of oil and dry. I have found that when there is a ton of carrydown or it is very dry you must really change how you throw them. It is also why people have more than one strikeball.
If this is your only strikeball and the conditions don't look to change then sanding it will help the ball to hook more.

Remember the BWp is speed sensitive. Alittle to fast and it comes late. Alittle more oil and same result. I have seen and heard taking it down to 2000 or 1000 abralon and some polises it also cahnges the reaction dramatically on the BWP. Take it to your pro shop or if you have the equipment to do it yourself give it a whirl. I think your outlook on theball will be what your looking for after the surface adjustment.

I concur with the others...take it to your local pro shop and ask them to change the surface to 2000 Abralon.
