Extracting Oil with Acohol

I have seen some people do this to get oil out of their bowling balls, but could it harm the ball at all by taking any special rosins out or something? Also, can someone tell me how to do this?

DONT DO IT. just do the bucket technique or the hook again. If u cant do any of them, the next best thing is get some power house clean n dull, thats just as good as using the bucket technique.

Ehh I guess I'll just pass on it. I don't wan't my Doom to hook alot anymore because when I first got that thing I had to stand at like 40 and aim at like 19 and the thing would sometimes would go brroklyn. Shouldn't be much problem since my ball speed has improved a bit though, I just don't want my Doom to die.

Matt if ur ball starts to hook less, u start to lose carry too. Just clean it and adapt to it. Its not really that hard.

using Alcohol will NOT EXTRACT oil. It will clean the surface and is approved for use by the USBC, but still will not remove oil.

Pain...More hook does not equal more carry. I know that, its just that usually when a ball starts to lose its hook, it starts to lose its carry also.
