Ok Guys and Gals. Whats your benchmark ball right now ? I would have to say mine is my No 1 Total Inferno but if I dull my BWP just a bit more I can use that.

Right now i don't own one. It used to be my paradigm passion, now its sort of become less of a benchmark ball because the grip is too short. I just purchased a Track Inertia off of br and that will become my benchmark ball.

Even though I'm new to bowling (only a year and a half) and only have two balls so far, it would be my 15lb Black Widow Pearl. In January I'm planning on purchasing a Black Widow Bite so that will more than likely become my new benchmark ball.

The black widow pearl is the ball I'm most comfortable with and have had my high games with compared to my black widow. It wasn't until I sanded the black widow down that I got the reaction I was looking for and would hit the pocket more consistantly.

my Anger is my benchmark ball. I had it puched up with the #1 layout.

Geez, what a tough decission. In my case it all depends on the house I bowl in and the condition. I say this because each house I bowl in has a different condition. Between the houses I have to say NMB'n / BWP / Anger

I work along the same lines as Bubba. Empty the bag in practice and see what's working that night on those lanes. Everytime I think a certain ball is gonna kick ass that night,it turns out to be a different one that works. Go figure. Just be open minded enough to make the change. Some guys won't be man enough to put away a high dollar ball to roll a "regular" ball that will score. Kinda like pounding a 4 inch square peg into a 3 inch round hole. Ugly.

My first ball out of the bag is my BWP because it is the middle ball in my lineup, so if it overhooks I go to one ball and if it underhooks I go to the other, or else I just move.

total nv is the main ball now... i know its not a hammer... but it does a good job as a benchmark... but the cherry vibe is looking good for one as well

Total NV is my benchmark ball. It gives me the best reads and is my "all around" ball if I can't get anything else to carry.

Mine is my No-Mercy, but in about a week (hopefully, maybe 2-3) it will be my brand new BWB.

I would have to say that my bnechmark ball is my modified RICO Track Xception. Very smooth, and it tells me the length of the pattern very well.

2 things I'm going to be trying this year just for kicks... a rico drill, and a trick layout (extended breakpoint for high rev bowlers).

the first ball out of my bag is my BWP because the lanes are usually pretty dried up for my league, but I would say my benchmark right now is my Real Deal. However that may change soon because I just got a BWS, and had my thumbhole and grips tighter.

My benchmark ball for league is my Hammer Pain, and for tournaments is my Track Machine.
