INCREDIBLE!!

Wow, what more can be said about this ball.......

I have now drilled 3 of these.
I have drilled that many because I had not experienced the "Black Widow" reaction quite yet. That is, until last night.

1st widow- 5.5" pin to PAP, 45* layout, with axis hole on MY axis. HMB is 2.5" right of Thumb. This ball flared SO much that is crossed over my axis point, and hole. I shined the ball and it did the same. Conclusion: This 45* layout was WAY TOO strong for me.

2nd widow- 5.5" pin to PAP, 90* layout, no hole. HMB is just left of thumb. TURD. Ball flared little and read the mids early, with no backend snap.

3rd Widow- 5.5" pin to PAP, 60* layout, no Hole, HMB 1" Right of thumb hole.
WOW!! This ball is unlike any ball I have EVER thrown in my over 20+ years of bowling experience. This ball is SO clean through the front, and just explodes on the back. I was playing 15 to 3 on a house pattern that I was throwing a VIBE on the week previous. The ball just doesn't read the front part of the lane, and stores all of the energy for the "move". I had 6 lanes of league stopping to watch my every shot.

This ball is flat incredible. I had a former Nat'l touring Ebonite staffer tell me that he wished that ball was in the E line, because they just don't have a ball motion like that. He compared it to a V2 Sanded on STEROIDS.

THANKS BG!! :p :D

I threw my Black Widow for the first time last night....

591 series (my avg is 141)

The only reason my series wasn't 50-100 higher was that I couldn't hit my 7 pin spares (I'm a lefty)...and that's because I threw 4-6 strikes a game...was out of practice on spares.

I took a 9 year break from bowling...and wasn't very good to begin with...but recently have worked on my release and things are going good. My avg is low because it started at the first time I threw a ball since college (9 years)

ANYWAY, the back widow is simply amazing. When it grips after the oil...it appears to SPEED UP into the pocket. (and I'm not throwing no thumb either) I had it drilled skid/flip (not sure of the exacts...but the pin is a tad higher and to the left of my ring finger hole. The center of the ball is 2-3 inches to the left of the center of my palm)

My whole team couldn't believe the action of the Black widow...I think I might have to buy another just for the future.

Now, I have to work on the spares...build up strength so I keep my nice release consistant...and I'm golden.

I LOVE THE BLACK WIDOW.

I'm still having fun with my BW too. 207 avg so far this year after 24 games. Last year I carried a 190-195 avg.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I just can’t believe how this ball reads the lanes it’s just amazing! In my 20+ years in this game I have never had a ball in my hand that hits, reacts and reads the lanes as well as the bw does. I have two bw’s drilled currently and I bought two more just for future use! I could go on and on talking about the widow but to keep it short it’s just an amazing ball!

The Black Widow can be a great ball, if drilled correctly, like you found out. If just a little different from what you need, it will kill you. Otherwise GREAT!!
