one day i was bowling in my school league and i did something to my wrist. i had to remove myself from the game and i've been off of it for 2 weeks until 1/6/08 when i bowled a 3 game set. it didn't hurt unless i used a little wrist/finger action, i pretty much feathered the ball down there, it worked though. i have an appointment with a hand specialist on 1/11/08( hopefully its good news, 11 is the lucky # =P), but has anyone here expirenced the same thing and how did you deal with it? how long were u out for? anythin like that will help me a lot.

ek11, I am sure many of us experienced some sort of wrist injury or pain one time or another. It is better to get it checked like you are going to do before you do any more injury or damage to the wrist. It mist be just some sort of wrist sprain or muscle pull.

I myself lately have experienced a little pain on the top portion of my hand from my wrist to my knuckels when I first pick up the ball and practice. after about five shots the pain goes away and doesn't bother me for the rest of the night. But have your's check and make sure you explain tot he Dr. that you bowl and when you do is when you feel the pain.

I had a forearm problem for most of last year that has only recently fixed itself to the point of no longer being troublesome, however I still need to be mindful of how I use the arm as a whole. My mistake was to ignore it at first and carry on as though nothing had happened. Overall it's just under a year since the initial incident.... :(

Two years ago, i sprained ligaments in my ankle. It was like 2 weeks into my summer league and i was out for 3 months with it. I came back and bowled a few games for practice and all of a sudden my wrist stung when i was about to release the ball. I was wearing an ace bandage around it before that cause i had some minor discomfort. After that bowling set my wrist was so bad i couldn't even pick the ball up by the fingers. I took about another good month off from bowling or doing anything really with my wrist.

I now wear a Master Wrister. It just goes around your wrist and velcros and keeps it tight and warm. Ever since i started using this my wrist has never really bothered me a whole lot. Every once in a while the pain would come back (like in the summer when i had 19 in a row:confused: )

I did go to a doctor about it tho. He said i have tendonitous. But he said it is about as bad as it's going to get so, i guess i really can't do much...

You might want to get your span/pitches looked at. I had quite a bit of wrist pain, but since my span and thumb pitch was fixed, no more wrist pain.

Just a thought...

What kinda of span do have and do you know the before and after pitch change?

the ball fits good, I really don't see how the ball could have done it but I can't measure pitch with my eyes so I have no way of telling, and I'm not sure on the measurements, but they must be close to perfect

You could take 2 balls and take a trip to your pro shop and have him check each ball for span / finger pitch and thumb pitch. I can honestly say thatThe pro shop guy that does my equipment after they are drilled , I can close my eyes and I can ot tell you what ball my hand is in. they all feel identicle .

hopefully it's nothing too major that sitting out some more would fix. every once in awhile my wrist gets sore, because of a prior injury in high school. i have many injuries from my baseball days and two of them always come back to haunt me every once in awhile. good luck and keep us informed.

it's a strain in my wrist and ill be back in business in a few days here. he also said i could bowl, just not alot, and if the pain allows it because it's not going to get worse. I went out and bought a wrist support, one with a metal plate in it, it's a full hand/wrist glove. I took the plate out and I might use that. PS I saw the BWB a Spare, they are so nice!
