I got my BWB drilled up Friday Night, drilled for length (cant think of the exact drilling, but it has a 5" pin, pin over middle finger (lefty)). Only got to throw one game with it, and lanes were worn. Only shot a 169, but that was to be expected, as i had completely burnt up the left side, and this ball was jumping off like nothing i had ever seen before. The next day in league, however, the shot was fresh. With a 178 average, i shot 180, 266, 190. The first game i had to play with my spot on the lane to get a consistant reaction. Moved left the second game, carried the front 7, then got soft with the speed, left 2-4-7. Converted that, struck 9th and first ball in tenth, then left a solid 6. Converted for 266. Next game i had a bit of trouble keeping the ball left, and didnt get my line back until about the 7th frame. Left some opens for 190. Overall, this is the best ball i have ever owned, as i have only been bowling for two years. Thanks Hammer!

I"ve had 3 BWP's. The first was pin over bridge, cg kicked right, MB right of thumb. That ball just never gave me the look that I wanted. My other two that I have now, are pin under the ring, and stacked leverage right of the fingers. Both those balls have great reaction.

I've found the BWP is drilling/surface combo sensitive for sure. Another great ball from Hammer.

I have a buddy who got a 14 lb Hammer for Christmas. Older guy in his 60s. He throws cross alley over the second errow with just a little speed and I cannot believe the difference in his game. His normal average is in the 180s and last year he did shoot a 300 using a Hammer Razor Blade but this year so far his game has been amazing with the Black Widow. Hes consistently in the 210s -230s and if off is still hitting the 180s. Our house alleys are dry with mostly carry down and if the BW hits the head pin, they go down. Looking to pick one up but concerned that the ball specs indicate medium to oily which in our house you only see during tournments. Appears the BW is a winner for the young and old bowlers so now I gotta get one and soon.

Don't look at the ball specs. We don't. Look at the drilling instructions instead. There's your light to medium oil layouts. Have fun.
