I got this ball, being a first generation reactive, for when the lanes are alittle dry or I want to play a more outside line. I'm hoping it will allow me to do so.

But the question is do I drill it for smooth and early or try to get more of a snap out of it? RICO? Opinions please. I'm also getting a Black Hammer Urethane drilled because I KNOW that will work for drier lanes, but that one will be a bit easier.

How close is the pin? If it's an inch or less, probably going with the pin under the fingers is about the only good option for the ball. Close pins really restrict drilling options. Just my .2

That will give you a nice, smooth even roll though.

3" pin. That's why i was considering Rico. Keeping this thing REALLY tame.

Be careful in thinking this will be a tame layout. The Rico drill will roll very soon and very easy. Giving the ball opportunity to cover alot of ground.

Then maybe I'll just got for a long layout. I just want this thing to be tame. Hell, maybe I'll give this one neg side weight like I should have done wtih the Cherry Vibe.

That is always an option too. I wish now I did that with my CV, cause that ball is WAY stronger than I thought it'd be.

Well I picked up my Razor this afternoon and headed to the lanes. Much to my surprise we got a fresh pair... just oiled. This ball is exactly what I've been looking for!

This ball has no snap, is very fluid, gently, and consistent down the lane, and it generated excellent pin action! It was ALITTLE tough to use on the fresh conditions because the ball just didn't flare (WOOHOO!), but I didn't get this ball for fresh conditions... I got it for broken down and dry conditions. League night may be interesting ;)
