I've struggled with Assy cores in general. But, I think I am on the right track to figuring out why.

These are the assy cored balls I've used:

Sledgehammer
Pure Fuel
Oracle Vision
Epic Battle, Quest, Odyssey
Vapor Zone
Time Zone
Ravage

The best for me:
Vapor Zone--4" pin to pap, mb at 45* on val
Time Zone--5 1/2" pin to pap, mb beyond val, something like 25*
Oracle Vision--5 1/2" pin to pap, mb on val

The worse balls have been with the mb near the thumb. They either want to hook early or too late, and seem squirrelly to me all around.

I think I'm gonna drill the BITE, 4 1/2" pin to pap, mb on val, pin up. I'm hoping that will give me the long and strong motion I am looking for from this ball.

I think you'll really like that drilling. This ball is incredible, and you could even polish it some, if you desired more length. Keep us posted on how it works out for you.

Check out the Hammer drilling sheets for patterns 1 and 2.
they describe the motion as more length with pin to pap in the 5 to 5.5 inch range.

you may choose to consider someting longer than 4.5 inches....

Pin 5 to 6 inches will give you more length. Mass bias on the val will give you an earlier mid lane read with a heavier roll. Basically, you are talking about a 45 degree drilling which is good for wet dry (won't over react) and will hold line when pulled in the oil.
