depends on what the difference would be. The difference would be how far the pin is from your pap. You probably wouldnt notice a 1/2" diff. but over 1" you would see a noticable difference in ball reaction

Yeah, drill it wrong and the ball will go straight. Don't think you're looking for a $200.00 spare ball.

I have a low track. Is that a bad thing? Should I try to change release to get a different track.

I dont think theres anything wrong with a low, medium or high track as long as your equipment can match up to it

There are 6 zones from the track to the pap. each is 1 1/8" wide. Each zone will create a difference in the reaction. The average bowler cannot tell the difference from a 4" pin to a 4 1/2" pin or any pin distances in each zone.

Agreed 1/2" or less would most likely be marginal. (However I think low track players might be affected more.)

Trust me on this Rowdy, they will not go straight, but they will not provide a good reaction either.

For an example, if you have a Anger for example, drilled layout number for a High Track, this ball will use way to much energy in the front part of the lane. The reason why is that the Pin to PAP is far to close for a Low Track Bowler. You'll probably have more trouble than success as the night does on... lots of carry issues.

Low, Medium or High Track, none are bad... you just need equipment drilled to fit your style.

Low Track bowler are genrrally gonna prefer PtoP of 5 to 5 1/2" with dull surfaces, especially on stronger cored bowling balls. Stronger cored bowling balls will have differantials of .050 or higher. These balls will included the Black Widow's (hook balls) and No Mercy's. The Raw Line is right there too.
