I have seen alot of bad reviews of the bite, so I decided to make my own, with a comparison as well. First off, I will start by saying that I am best described as a speed dominant tweener. So as a result, I have a tendency to lean towards very aggressive stuff. Of course the rising was first, had it drilled up with the recommended layout, and it is a great ball. I left it at oob finish, and it worked good at my normal house, which is a house pattern of 40 ft. A little swin outside, and it might leave a weak 10. I took it to another house, that is either 37 or 38 ft, and it was too much. Now, on Friday, I drilled up the bite. I have the pin under the ring finger, cg above, and to the right of the thumb, and the below the thumb, to the right as well. Bowling on the 40 ft house condition, it is about 1 board stronger with this layout than the Rising, at oob finish, with the exception of the good old BW typical backend. Places where I would have thrown the Rising and left a weak 10, or 2 pin, this ball came screaming back from, with amazing carry. Ten minutes of practice, then 300 first game. Next move is to polish the Rising, and see how it works at the other house, and how it works on transition. Also, getting a Kinetic to try and the same ball motion as the Bite, just 5 feet later for the drier stuff. Needless to say, I disagree with the bad reviews on this ball.

bowlingball.com, where as I have heard they are brunswick lovers there, I base alot on their perfect scale, but no matter now, I love it anyways.

Well all I can say is in the last night I go 290 with the Bite 200 as the lanes dryed out changed to the Cherry Vibe and shot 290 last game....780....The BITE is the a amazing ball it comes screming back from the outsides.....David

how old is your Rising? Mine fell off the face of the earth after about 20 games...im talking hooking 7-10 boards less...it was and AMAZING ball for 20 games hooking from anywhere but WOW was i disappointed. The Bite is also a very good ball, i have it drilled exactly like my fave orig. Black widow and it is strong in the midlane with a similar movement in the back as my original. I just hope it holds up better than the rising!

They all hate Ebonite there, so i wouldnt believe what you find there..

The thing is, they gave great reviews to the original widow, and the pearl. That is what had me wondering. I keep checking back to see if a staff from bowlingball.com reviews it yet, just out of curiosity to see the perfect scale on it change to a number more like what it should be. My rising easily has 50 plus games, and is no different, other than when I just changed the surface for a sweeper on the shark pattern. But it is going to get polished now.

That site is a lot more Hammer-friendly but all companies seem to get equal treatment there.
