For thouse guys who dont want to buy ball cups. You know the thing you put the ball on when its on the counter so it dont roll around. Use the tops off of the blank CD stacks. I use them to hold the ball when Im working on them. They work great when your polishing the ball or sanding the ball or just to hold the ball to look good. lol Anyway thats my tip now do it. Ill post a pic later for thouse who dont know what Im talking about.

Heres a better idea. Go to the Hardware store and buy 1 foot of 3 in PVC and cut it in sections 1/2 in think ! That will make you a few ball rings !

I use the top of a peanut butter jar, one of the plastic ones.

The main problem with buying a real ring, is that they are not always available to buy ! I have never seen one in a pro shop in this area and the only place I have ever seen one is at the Nationals, and they aint $2.00 there !:D

Your proshop should be able to order them. Just ask!

We have people come in all the time. I sell them for $2.50.

This is one time where an internet purchase is okay. One of them internet pro shops is selling them for two bucks a shot. Of course,I got mine from a pro shop counter, freebie! Helps to just ask.:)

I manage our pro shop. No one wants stuff like that. One thing we have always done. When we plug a ball, there is always a bit of plug left, so I turn the real rings over and fill the groove in the back with the plug. Let it harden, and you have a ring ! We just give those to folks

Where I work, they recieve large plastic bags on a roll. The plastic pieces in each end of the cardboard tube that hold it on the dispenser make great ball holders.

ya they are like $2.50 at buddies. i went to my pro shop last week to get some cleaner and asked him. he said that it's been awhile since he has had them, so i'm just going to continue to use my plastic lid like everyone else until i need to order something of the web.

Don't let Rowdy kid you. Before he got the ball rings, he was using the clean ashtrays at the bowling alley. And they have them for free. If you really want to you can go to a Dollar store and get them for a buck each. The ashtrays not the rings. :D

I still use the ashtrays at the bowling alley. Those chislers I roll with would steal any ball ring I brought with me. Disgusting is all it is. No honor among thieves,at all.

Set the ball on its thumbhole or Balance hole. No ball cup needed
