Just use a "Wrister" first. You may have just strained something that wont heal without support or time off

It's either wear one of those "gizmo's" or quit bowling for a few months. Go ahead, wear one.Besides, you'll love the extra revs.

I have way more revs without the wrist device. I used one for 30 years, and finally got out of it this year

i started with a robby's original and i eventually got rid of it and it feels better. has anyone used just regular athletic tape? i used it for awhile and it worked pretty good.

honestly i think that it would be better to just use that. i don't know how people continue to use wrist supports because you can't really cup your wrist with them. maybe you should sit out for a couple of weeks and go to the doctor to check it out.

The more you continue to bowl the more stressed out it will feel until something just says time to let him know I am really here. And that is one thing you don't want to happen. Take a week or two off and rest that wrist.

I used to wear an ACE elastic wrist support. That helped out alot but I started to use a Pro Grip with a magnet in it and now I have no more pain or stressed feeling in my wrist. The magnet does help eliminate the pain. A little piece of advice, If you continue to bowl and it gets stressed more and more, you will be out longer than a week or two just resting it.

i totally agree. any sign of pain means that something is wrong. gotta think long term effects!

Worst case scenario, you may have to wear some sort of support in the future. I know a few people who cannot bowl without them and not be in pain. But give it a fair bit of time and see what happens. Please also keep in mind that most Dr's ,unless they bowl, do not understand. They may even tell you to give it up. It happens all the time. Then, you find another Dr !:p

If you know you have tendonitis then a wrist support might help with that pain. I have had tendon problems off and on with my bowling hand and have used a brace while it was hurt, however I don't generally like the brace when I wasn't in pain.
