Okay, so i have a Toxic drilled for a strong controllable hook, pin next to ring finger and CG in palm. Its been working wonders on my league night, until about 7 frames into the 2nd game, then things go downhill from there. It begins to break to early and leave me with alot of 4 and 9 pins. Also a few splits here and there. Here are a few options that i am thinking of.

#1: Drill another toxic with the pin above the bridge and cg in palm.

or #2: Drill a cherry vibe the same as the toxic.

What do you guys think would be best?

Neither....just move your feet.

But if you must drill another ball. Drill the Vibe. And put the pin above your ring finger.

I'm with Blue. Move left 2 and 1. See what happens. We all have to make adjustments as the night goes on. No line last's forever.

When I'm hitting my mark which I start at the 8 board to find, once I feel that I'm not hitting the pocket consistantly or not hitting it correctly, I move 2 boards over and see if that fixes it for me before I need to go further inside.

Spend your money on lessons. They'll be more beneficial than any bowling ball.

yeah just move your feet. I get really lucky with my bwp alot, but if i see it hooking alittle to much I just move half a board over to adjust. Sometimes I end up 3 or 4 boards over from when I started.

And agroves that comment for some reason could come off mean alittle bit, in my mind anyway. Although you really are right. Lessons are a very good thing. It really shouldn't matter what kind of ball one uses. Yes having a good ball helps, but a good bowler can use almost any kind of ball to get the job done.

Just adjust your feet. That's what your supposed to do when the lanes breakdown a little.

Get lessons??? What's a coach gonna do? Charge him 30 bucks to tell him to move left a few boards? He needs to learn how to roll the ball and make adjustments on the fly. Only practice will teach that.

That isn't always an option. For example, there is only one certified USBC Instructor in this area and I know him. I wouldn't want lessons from him personally.

That is how I am. I only know of one coach in my area and I think he would screw me up. I've seen the way he coaches and the results. He isn't any good.

Ask around. Not all coaches wanted to jump through all the hoops to get USBC cerified. I know of two coaches who are NOT USBC certified that are excellent coaches. It's all in the coaches method and how it relates to you.

well guys, i've already had coaching, so i don't think i need more. I already know about moving in and making the right adjustments, but it seems the more i move in, the less the ball carries, and i end up leaving alot of corner pins. Besides, most of the time i don't need another ball and i do just fine with the toxic all night, but i would like to have a "go-to" ball in that sort of situation when the lanes are totally burnt and my adjustments just aren't working.
