i know it's probably not a great spinner, but what do you think? will the 1/3 hp motor be adequate for polishing and sanding with abralon discs? or should i go for the 1/2 hp?

Just remember those famous words of The Toolman: More Power!

ya i figured it would be a better way to go. i think that it's only $20 more or so. but you don't think i would be wasting my money?

spend the extra cash for the 1/2 hp. vertex spinners are the pride of ball hogs everywhere, myself included.

You'll burn up that 1/3hp motor. The 1/2hp motor will last you a lot longer.

okay so i will go with the 1/2. i probably will buy a better spinner later on down the road, but it will be more convenient now to build a true arsenal by being able to adjust my surfaces anytime i want.

You're gonna love that spinner. With the 1/2hp motor,it'll last a long time if you don't bog the thing down by pressing too hard on the ball. I've used the same spinner you're going to buy. Works great and it's small enough to take with you to a tournament. Just don't tell the maid what all that gunk is in the tub.

The only difference between the two is the 1/2hp spins faster. They both have the same torque rating.
