ball is basicly a Scortchin inferno.

Yep. It was a big pro-am "giveaway" (however you label that). Every one that I've seen thrown is ALOT tamer than any recent Hammer ball. But it doesn't seem to be a BAD ball.

I mean, it's not a Storm ;)

its because of its 600 grit surface;)...

Why would you sell a bunch of uninformed bowlers a 600 grit bowling ball?

I love the reviews:
Dislikes: As stated before, this ball tends to lose momentum as it revs downlane. Not the best inside, aggressive or heavy oil ball. Best use is for carried down oily conditions.

don't create too much angle, it won't climb the hill

Really? 600 grit on your typical house will be insta burn!

If you drill it RICO, better take the surface up or bowl on some soup.

Make sure you weigh it also. Mine was #15.8 after drilling and weight hole. Basically useless for me because I could feel the extra weight. Brunswick had problems with balls being heavier than labeled.

I'd get it laid out for something smooth, I know alot of guys who have them and they are very smooth, typical to a Brunswick ball.

There's info on Rico in the layout section here, and this ball actually would be good with a Rico from what I've seen

Yeah i didn't buy it for a benchmark ball, It will be my 3rd or 4th ball out of my bag....

But I talked to my proshop guy today about getting it rico'd and he was like rico is only for people who rev it a lot and have a lot of hand, its primary use is to take some of the backend off the ball...

Thats wayy different than what i interpreted it.

Is the way I interpreted it the right way or is what he said right?

Rico really isnt just for people with high rev rates, its for a smooth consistant reaction.

The master of the Rico here is Bluerrpilot, you might wanna ask him more.
Generally Rico drills are used to get the most consistant reaction possible out of a ball.

Thats what I thought

His exact words were, "The Rico drilling is for the guys for rev the mess outta it and wanna take some backend off the shot."
