Hey all. Hope you are doing well. Feels good to be back.
Well My game is back where it used to be and seems to get better. Heres the thing. One day Went bowling at Neo's house and couldn't get out of my own way. So In between the argument with Rowdy on the way home I made a statement that stuck with me. I needed to take my game back to the very beginning. I was so busy trying to be the best bowler out there that I forgot how to bowl. It was UGLY. I could hear Rowdy grinding his teeth behind me to keep quiet. I found that my feet were positioned all wrong, my release was different for every throw, and my hook was straight.
So I took that one long look in my mind at how I bowl. What I saw was really bad. So I got out the first BB I had thrown as a hook and went back to the very beginning. I didn't think about my score but my mark and release. I was careful about how I put my feet and what position. And What do you know my score jumped about 30 pins or there abouts. Then I took what I was doing right and did it with every BB I have. And what do you know They all did what I wanted them to do and how I wanted it done. Instead of 7 open frames and three closed I went to 3 open and the rest with a mark. I loved bowling again.
So for all of you out there struggling like I was, try going back to the very basics. Go back to the first things you were taught about how to bowl. You don't have to use that first BB, just try it with what you have now. And please take your time. Don't worry about score it will be there when you stop looking and trying so hard. Good Luck :)
