your boy Jr. is doing well. I'm pretty sure thats who you're talking about. My guy (Jeff Burton) isn't doing so well but he'll be back in it on Sunday.

If you get the chance you should go to Dover- awesome track. I go to Pocono every year, since its an hour away.

Don't forget about throwing dirt at the local dirt tracks!!:)

Dirt's for plantin' taters, asphalt's for racing. Old bumper sticker we had on a Late Model Sportsman car years back.

Want to make NASCAR fun again? Make the templates actually fit the real car. And no more of this turning a four door car in to a two door race car. With the roof flaps and "Real looking" cars, they could take the damn plates off the motors. Then we can go racing, instead of all this,"Follow the leader, lets have a big wreck to keep the new fans happy" crap.

I always thought the idea was who's the fastest to win. And I agree, Race real cars like the old days when Petty raced the Daytona Charger.

Also it's about time Nascar decided to get tough on Stewart and Bush before someone get seriously hurt or killed.

I use to love dirt track racing, it was great I use to go to 5-10 races at different tracks during the summer it was a lot of fun, then I saw this lady get hit in the head by like this rock that weighed like a pound and a half and that was enough of that. Never went to another one.

TOny stewert in a toyout, what this world comming to???
NOw that the 55 is up to speed it'll be interesting if mike an JR. hook up again...
to bad RH didnt give ray everinham some breathing room. ray and jeff were unbeatable in their day. now its chad and jimmy. Lets hope RH gives Tony E. jr. access to the 24 and 48 setups so jr. make it a 1,2,3 for RH again.

Looks like Smoke took care of the problem in The Oval Office! Busch looked great with that shiner on Speed.

Junior has been my favorite ever since he started in the Busch series. He did great at the Bud Shootout, and then the Gatorade Duels. Hope it takes the checkered at the 500 this Sunday!

I prefer Kurt over Kyle anyday. I met Kurt and he's a great guy off the track. Every race I ever went to he's always going the extra distance to support the fans. Thats big.

I don't like when drivers forget where they came from.

I like Stewart but sometimes he's a big baby. He runs his mouth to much but I guess you can do that when you're a 2 time champ

I remember back in the early 90's when Rusty Wallace and others, who felt their Pontaic GP or Ford... was at competitive disadvantage the team and driver would plead for less spoiler or this or that.

Think Nascar finally got tired of having to rebuilt templates or remember who could have what spoilers.

But, I agree on these cars should have name of 2 door cars I can buy on Monday! :D No Charger, Impala, Camry or Fusion... <----What the Heck!

I always thought that Ray got a offer to own his team, from Dodge, without him, they probably would not have gotten to where they are today... atleast as fast. That and he was burnt out, long hours in the shop. He did alot of it to himself.

(Maybe I'm wrong, but this is what I remember.)

I'd like to see someone take over Nascar from Brian France, he is ruining the Sport. Know several people who think so.

Whats up with the chase and exculsive sponser, that kills it for teams, trying to secure sponsers to run the season and Top 35 Rule. I understand some of this to an extent... but things have changes since the Top 35 rule was established and the chase takes away from consistency and the grind of the season.

Well, I have been into Nascar since I was about 5, I think the COT is ruining Nascar. As far as the chase goes, its no big deal because no one has ever won the cup from outside the top 10 with 10 to go anyway. As far as Stewart running Toyota's , no biggie. Guys , these cars all fit under the same templates. They are like IROC cars, the only diff is the engines. And Toyota has the best engines out there. France actually isnt ruining it, he is putting alot of faith in guys who are ! I know you have heard this before, but if Dale Sr was still alive, alot of this stuff would not be happening. I was a Dale Sr fan and I am a Dale Jr fan along with Stewart. I do not belittle Jr for what he did, but its all about money. As far as Stewart being a baby, maybe you should listen to the Busch brothers and some of the others once in a while. Tony Stewart is the best all around driver in Nascar. If its got wheels, that cat can drive it

I'd rather watch Smoke drive anything BUT a Cup car. If I'm plunkin' down cash for a ticket,I'm watching Kyle Busch. That dude has no fear. Like DW says,he's the only guy who can go three wide all by himself. Look at what he did in the truck and Cup race in California. That was some fun stuff to watch. And he ain't a pain in the ass like his brother.

As far as Brian France and his wanting the old fans to come back, I'm 50 and have been to 40 Daytona 500's, 30 Firecracker 400's,25 Southern 500's,15 of the old Trans South 400's,and more races at Rockingham and North Wilkesboro that Junior Johnson. Darlington sent a preferred seat ticket form to the house. I sent it to Brian France with a letter informing him that if I wanted to see a car race with winged cars,I'd go to the Indy 500. I also told him that the SC in NASCAR did NOT stand for "Shitty Concept". It stood for STOCK CAR.

Now their talking about making California into a high banked restrictor plate track? I guess after watching the Daytona 500 that's not all bad, as the Cali race is pretty boring to watch.

Restrictor plates are not for bunching the cars up they are to keep them from getting airborne in excess 0f 210. I think it would be better if they made the tires 6 inches wide instead of 12 and took all the down force away.

Make the car look EXACTLY like whats on the showroom floor. Then throw the plates away forever. Even at Daytona and Talledega. Think an Honest to God stock bodied Charger could break 180 at 'Dega?

Boy those Dodge Boys would be crying if their car had to look like the Charger....

I can agree, I'd liked when they look kinda close to the Street Car. Then they all cry, where at a Aero Disadvantage... well switch brands then dude.

With 800hp it would be real close. With 425, ala the SRT-8 no, probably only hit 160 max.
I hope they do switch the Nationwide series to the pony car platform. Mustang, Vs. Camaro, Vs. Challanger Vs. Toyota POS.

I also thought it was Hilarious that the pace car of the 07 Daytona 500 had more HP than the race cars.

I'm not a huge fan of Nascar but I do watch from time to time.

Living 5 minutes from PIR makes it F'n crazy around here. It's pretty cool in the mornings though to here them practicing.

A friend of mine who works for Fox is trying to get us tickets to the race next month at PIR. Looks like an entertaining track to see in person.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who figured that one out. Watching Brett Bodine leave the field behind on restarts with the friggin' PACE CAR was truly funny. I thought he was going to stay out and lead for awhile near the end of the race.

The Nationwide Series should be what it always was back in the Busch beer days,Hand me down Cup cars with smaller motors. The idea that a Nationwide car should cost as much to run as a Cup car is obscene. It's supposed to be a stepping stone to Cup,not Cup Lite.

My lovely wife and I are NASCAR fans. We mostly support the Dodge drivers as that's the car type we drive. Other favorites are Sterling Marlin, Ken Wallace, Ken Schrader, Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin. Not real fond of most of the newer guys. Not much personality.

Our big issue is that we're getting tired of seeing the same drivers in the top 10 race after race. Having these "Super Teams" is going to kill the sport in our opinion. These 1 and 2 car teams have virtually no chance of winniong or even being in the top 10. What chance does someone like Robby Gordon have against the mega-million dollar teams? Little, if any.

I can tell you the traffic isn't very entertaining. When I go only for the race I just head out extra early, and put a cooler of beer in the trunk. Hit vendor row and whatever else than head to the car for some cold ones, and usually a nap before the race. Funniest traffic was for the Kentucky Derby people selling parking in their front yards, BBQ, Beer etc.? Bring your stuff and well hookup and do some bowling.
Thanks for the offer, all depends on time constraints.
