okay i have a question about your slide foot position? i've noticed i don't slide much or any at all, but my foot is always pointed to the right (i'm right handed). i'm wondering if it should be pointing straight forward or what?

Pointing it to the right is perfectly okay. When you do that it keeps your weight on top of the slide foot. That means you won't have a problem with your slide foot going out to the left and having you fall off the shot. Keep on doing what you're doing.

I don't guess it matter much, I slide straight. When my foot points to the right, i tend to swing it out a bit.

Where is your other foot?

my other foot slides behind my front foot and to the left. everything feels perfectly comfortable and balanced to me, i was just wondering if my foot pointing to the right was proper. thanks.

We have discovered that it makes a diiference if your non-slide foot is in the air or down on the floor. Keeping it down makes your upper body stay more upright. That puts you in a better position to have a better realease, with more ball motion on the backend. It also helps to keep you from driving the ball into the lane,it'll be easier to set the ball down and get it rolling on the proper line.

ya i don't lift it in the air. it just slides on the approach. i feel balanced for the majority of my shots. every once in awhile i will screw up and get off balance and that effects my game. so once i can master being balanced on every shot then my scores should be even better.
