Hey
I have been bowling for 2 years now, and have developed a really sore elbow. The doc said, it was a cousin to the tennis elbow. All i know is, it hurts mostly at night, and sometimes when i am bowling, I do wear a support for it, but was wondering if anyone could give me some advice if they have the same problem, and what they use for pain creme that works. Someone told me to try Emu Oil- anyone use it? And if you do, does it work?

my father has tried emu oil, and said that it worked wonders
(however i remember it as being sort of pricey)

what you might try and do before bowling, is strech your joints
it may sound bizarre, but bowling is a sport, so get warmed up before you bowl

i myself do not have the elbow problem, because im only 16. different pain relievers react different to different bodies, so it seems mostly a hit and miss area

be sure to keep a healthy diet. as a high school wrestler, where alot of my joints get streched, pulled, pushed and yanked, the proper dieting is key. keeping up on vitamins will keep your body healthy, so if you are not already, DO IT! i use multi vitamins, but if your needs are more specialized, adjust accordingly

I definately agree with stretching before bowling. Especially as we get older.

Also, what weight ball are you bowling with? Maybe going down in weight would help.

Lastly, maybe changing your bowling style would help. If you are throwing the ball hard, try rolling it a little easier. An adjustment may seem strange at first, but after a while becomes like habit and could eliminate elbow strain

Good Luck
