Mines is drilled strong with snappy backend. Last night just played straight down the ten board all night. Helps when you finally become knowledgable about how oil patterns are setup. You want to ride just enough oil so that it'll make a move when it hits friction in the backend. Your typical house shot will have the flattest oil (most amount) between from 10 to 10. Playing too far outside the oil and you'll burn up the balls energy causing it not have as much of a reaction in the backend. Just think of a car sliding on ice with the wheels turned all the way to one side. When it finally hit's dry pavement the car will make a big move in that direction. If it's already skidding on dry pavement, when it finally moves in towards the turned wheels it wont be as strong a move.

Play it straight up. I start at the 10 board and move depending on what the ball does. Remember that after a while you'll dry out that line so you'll have to make adjustments to keep some oil in the shot. I like to move left two boards with my feet and one board left with my mark. That keeps the ball sliding on the front half of the shot and gives it some dry to hook off on the backend.

Actually when you say heavy oil, it can mean many diff things. DO you mean volumn or length ? IT really matters a lot on how to play the 2

IF I use my BWS on heavy oil I toss it up the 13 to 15 board stright up and just use a small hook . IMHO when that shot is right its a pin killer .
