I would like to apologize to Idlehour / Hotshot/Josh/The Painscoming/Bluerrpilot and the rest who all try and keep things in order. I apologize for the personal attacks and the degrading of you all.

When each and every one of us Registered for the Hammer Message Board, we all agreed to the Terms of Use. The Admins at Hammer and J&A Fusion expect those Terms of Use to be honored. As of this moment all those terms of Use Rules will be upheld with the support of Mr. Jeff Ussery and J&A Fusion. I have discussed this with them and was informed to uphold the rules.
I am not here to be a dictator or to Censor anyone's post except for language. Closing a Thread is not Censoring. When I was appointed Moderator I gave Hammer and J&A Fusion my word I would try and do the best I can with Spam and making sure this is the best place to come for information and advice.as well as alittle fun. I have editied posts for language and some for improper content. We have had alot of problems in the past and I thought it was all straightned out to a point. But Iwas wrong. It never ceases to amaze me how a thread of bashing and degrading can have so many people posting and a thread like , "I need some Help or Thumb problems get only five or six replies.

As of now the TERMS OF USE will be enforced. I will edit / remove/ warn and Ban with permission of the Admins if they are not upheld. If someone asks for help or makes a comment about equipment other than Hammer and say hammer does not work for them and another company does, I (WE) expect not to see any Bashing / Name Calling / Humiliation / Language that is not appropiate / or degrading that person of any kind. It will be editied or removed. If this is your intent to degrade / bash / or make fun of those you can go elsewhere and do it as it will not be allowed here.

Those of us who bowl with no thumb / two hands / lefty / righty / backup ball / low avg / high avg / and so forth will get the help and advice as needed . This message board should get the respect that it deserves and Thanks should be given to Hammer and J&A Fusion for putting up this board for all to use. It is open to everyone in the sport of bowling for advice and help. Out of all my 1,000 + posts I have never degraded or put anyone down for a question. My PM's are full everyday and I take the time to answer each and everyone of them respectfully. Some may be late in responding but it gets done.

I have made many friends here over the course of the past two years and respect each and every one of you. Your opinions / advice and help arte always welcome. We are driving people away from here and those that are leaving are good people that I feel I have a friendship with. I do this for my love of the game and to help others improve. I do not claim to know everything and never did. I am learning every day also even with all my years of experience.

I do not want a ton of replies with you are doing a good job. That is not the purpose of this thread. The purpose is to inform all that the Terms of Use will be upheld from here on out.

I Apologize to those again who have helped with advice and those that have been personaly attacked for either thier questions or style of bowling or preference of equipment.

Now let's all get back to doing what this place is all about /

Thanks for your time and understanding.

Bubba, bluerrpilot, slap and a few others, I really appreciate what you guys do here. if it didnt require traveling the country, I would go out of my way to shake your hands, and buy a round (for those of age). you guys are exactly what this forum is about, sharing knowledge, even if you have to repeat yourselves 2 days later to a new member. you guys enjoy the game and are more than glad to help everyone out. Rowdy, I hope you or anyone doesnt mind me calling you the "class clown" of the forum. you keep it loose around here and rather entertaining, which is needed once in a while. bubba, blue slap you guys respect others opinions and knowledge or lack there of, and try to help them out without a complaint. I wish i could offer advice as often as these guys, but I dont have enough experience. again, thank you guys, for keeping things in mostly one piece.

I am relatively new here and don't understand all the soap opera. However I do treasure this forum since the game has changed so much(technology), and Bubba, Idle,Rowdy and even Stampy79 have offered advice and education! Many of my peers at League are tripping out over my "Notebook" full of Bubba's detailed explanations of various aspects of the game. Now there are many reconsidering their approach to the game...Bubba's wisdom is contagious! The support of fellow posters such as Idle, Rowdy and Stampy79 propel me to greater goals. Most of all, I appreciate the advancement of fellowship... I may never stand before you, but I appreciate the shared experiences... and look forward to the next tale!

Sorry to hear and read about what took place recently. It's good to see you guys all pulling together after everything that happened. I know from personal experience how these things get started and how quickly they can get out of hand as I used to own and run a message board as a hobby a few years ago and I have been through all of it. This is the best site I've found for bowling advice and I'm happy to be a part of it with all of you.

Come on everyone. I posted this because I want the BS and drama to stop. :( And it starts again in this thread. I stated I will uphoild the rules here and I am starting right now. Is this another thread I have to close. Like I said it never ceases to amaze me how drama gets all the attention. There are members out there that need our help. My time and your time is being wasted reading this type of stuff instead of helping. I know there will be times when things will be out of order but this is getting way to rediculous. :(

One more time I ask, Lets stop all this. and I will start deleting posts . OK?

And take a minute to read the sicky below this one.

Hmm, i have an idea..

Some vB forums use a reputation system. Other posters can give rep points to anyone else based on their own amount of points..

So if user 1 has lets say 10 reputation, his/her influence on the rep of another user would be about 1 point (positive or negative).

Now if user 2 has 300 reputation, his/her influence would be more like 10..

I am somewhat active on another vB (non-bowling) forum and it uses this rep system, and i find its an awesome system to use. It generally helps to show who knows their stuff, and who doesnt. Whos posts to read more often than others in a way.

Now on the other forum, i have 318 Rep points, my rep power is 13.

Im guessing the admins would have to implement this, but to see if anyone likes the idea, or the system, you can see it in action here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/portal.php

You will notice green bars under the right side of the post, those are rep bars. Its set to 1 bar per 100 rep points there, with a max of i believe 10. However, if a user get enough bad rep, they will have a single red bar.

----

Or you could implement an incremental ban system. Everytime someone continues to screw up they get a ban, and it becomes longer with each one

As a relative new bowler I enjoy reading and talking bowling and I find this forum to be interesting and informative. When I'm not on the lanes working on my game I like to read these forums and pick up the little gems of info that one can find amongst the ruins.:p
I appreciate the great effort of Bubba and the counsel of experienced bowlers. I have even PM'ed Rowdy for advice. He responded to me very quickly and with some very sage advice. Does he know me or did he get annoyed at my "NOOB" questions ? No- not at all. Show people some respect, use good manners and act humbly and the world will be your oyster. Acting dis-respectful or confrontational is , unfortunately, too common-place in our modern cyber world.
Anyway just a word of thanks to the positive contributors to this board.
It does make a difference.
