alright, I'm having trouble adjusting to a 5 step. I know doing it slower is supposed to help, but I'm having problems slowing down and doing a 5 step, when I slow down sometimes I do a 3 step (yeah...hahaha)
Also, my arm isnt moving fast enough most of the time on the push away. I need it to sync up with my right foot step, and I thing this is because my first right footed step is small.
So any tips on making this easier on me?

The five step is just a four step with a SMALL first step added. It helps if you stand with your left foot halfway ahead of your right foot. For righthanded bowlers. Don't put your feet next to each other. I actually slide the first step, nice and S-L-O-WWWWWWW. Then the ball starts moving on the second step, just like a four step delivery. The rest stays the same.

Also helps to slightly pause after that first timing step to get your pushaway and second step in sync.

I actually do have my left foot in front of my right foot.
I noticed when I get it right I do two shuffle steps and it turns out really nice and fluent.
I guess I'll just have to learn this slowly. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I just changed back to a 4 step. I was finding that I was hesitating in my five step. It was just enough to throw my timing off a hair.
what I did was a small step, then start pushing the ball with the second step. I see alot of people doing it all on the first step.
they have a video on the usbc website
www.bowl.com
Then click on bowl tv- you can watch Diandra Asbaty, they show how to do it. They also have alot of other videos if you're interested.
hope it helps ya
