strong backend

Last night I used my newly drilled toxic at league and I cannot believe the backend on this thing. I just changed my release and takeback so now the ball is up at my head level. I used to shotput the ball, but I wanted to learn how to throw the ball "more professionally". The toxic backend is uncontrolable for me at the moment. I start from the arrow just left of the middle arrow and throw it out to the first arrow and it goes strait left brooklyn! I don't throw it incredibly slow either, I throw about 15-16. My change in release and takeback must create a lot more revs than I used to. People an league we amazed how much it hooked. I only bowled a 136, 138, and 174 with this ball. I expected my average to go down using my new technique and ball, but wow I didn't expect that much hook. I have the pin above my ring finger with the cg in my palm beneath the pin. It was just a real surprise the hook on the ball.

u could adjust and move left and throw over the oil. i have a toxic and am on the 2nd to last dot on approach

I did that a few times. I went all the way into the other gutter a few times and the ball got too much angle into the pocket and left some weird single pins. Or it still goes brooklyn that is why I was so surprised with the ball. It insane compared to my other balls. I throw a scout and an ebonite prime time. Those balls hook a lot for me, but not like that.

Yeah I guess this is normal for you guys. I am just not used to it yet, but I am gonna keep trying with this ball and new release. I love how the ball destroys the pins when I hit the pocket, however I just don't do it enough yet.:)

The ball is not creating this amount of hook alone. It has some help. You and the ball are creating the hook and it appears that the lanes are doing the rest. You said that when you move deep inside the ball just hooks toward the left gutter which tells me the lanes are dry from inside out. If they are that dry a plastice ball will hook a good amount also. You are going to have to either try and get more forward roll on the ball , Close the hand / break your wrist back / or less rotation on the ball to have a chance on this dry of a condition. Let us know how you do.
