Son had a decent day at his first Pepsi tournament.
Started with the BWB=174, Switched to BWS half way through second=184, Finised w/ BWS=255 8 in a row. series=613

Friday night he rolled 4 lines at 10 pin only and really push up the make percentage. Problem was he was using the range finders to line up the 10 pin. These lanes didn't have the range finders so he missed 3 10 pins.

Nice, depending on his average, he should've made states. It only took like a 650 to make states here after handicap was added.

VMS, tell your son I said congrats on the nice bowling in the Pepsi regional. A little trick next time he's trying 10 pins without the range finders, is look at the shadow of the 10 pin on the lane. Tell him to aim for the head of the pin reflecting on the lane and have him point his ring finger towards the 10 pin upon release.

Thanks to all for the good wishes. Much appreciated.
This friday night we'll practice the 10 pin shadow technique.
Always learn something new every day arround here.

well, on may 17 he rolled 175,185,195,195,205,215 which wasn't too bad.
he had trouble stringing strikes together. But I was quite proud of the fact that he was picking up his spares very well.

we'll see where he places after the squads finish on may 31

VMS, tell Jimmy he did a good job. Unless he has like 300+ handicap thats gonna be hard. The last spot in nationals is usually right around the low 1400's. i HEARD the shot was very easy like last year and i have to shoot two 650+ series to make cut.
