after a ball is resurfaced, especially after being damaged it will take several games to get the reaction you had with it before. normally, for me, i bowl with a newly resurfaced ball at least 6-8 games before i begin to see the reaction i'm looking for. if after bowling enough games with it and you still dont' like it by all means talk to the proshop guy and see what they can do. one question to ask them is did they put the same surface on the ball as it had before the damage as far as what grit abralon pads they used. they can always adjust the surface until you get the reaction you were getting. hope this helps.

When you resurface a bowling ball, you remove the track area. So it will take a few games to actually get the track back into the ball. Once that happens, you will see a similar reaction to what you are used to. You might need to make a couple boards adjustment, but nothing too huge to where you will be uncomfortable.

What kind of ball is it and how many games did you throw with it before you quit???
And....you just let them walk off with your ball and didn't follow up with the pro shop BEFORE they resurfaced the ball??? After all the sob stories that have been posted here???
Shame,shame.:(

The finer/cleaner I keep my surface the more I like it. Don't always get the track wear out of the ball, but I try to keep none existant or to a minimum. But if the ball is at 2000 or 4000.. then that what I maintain it at... and polish if needed.
Not to say I've never seen a ball seem to come alive after a few games.
