What is the difference and why is there a difference for overseas balls?

Some overseas balls are different than US releases because the Aisian Bowlers have different lane conditions than we do that call for different equipment. But there are Overseas releases that are the same as US balls only color and names changed. The Asians usually bowl on a heavier oil pattern than we do here. Thus the need for different stuff.

Most of them have cover switch arounds and such. Keep in mind alot of them are spinners as well.

Covers deom the BW on NM cores... if you see whats happening. Plus different colors. Generally colors don't make a big difference.

They are okay to use as long as the are approved by the USBC, on the approved ball list.

The reason these balls are made, is because the Asian Distributors, pressure or demand it.

The Asian market is the second largest, next to the US Market. Given the Asian's mindset against getting US "Hand Me Down" products, the ball makers ginny up balls that are different than ours but use the same components.

Yeah, they use a little more oil due to the humid conditions, but any ball made for the US could be drilled to work over there.

So they get something that appears to be made just for them and everyone is happy.
