There were showing ball speed and target last night. Can't remember them doing that on any of the Denny's shows this past season.

They used and showed the Cats system on a few Denny'ss Tour Stops this past season. I can't remember the ones but I remember seeing the ball path and speed

Wasn't that the Ebonite Digitrax system not the CATS?

they also did a "in the bag" segment where each bowler described the 3 or 4 balls they had on the rack. haven't seen that in the pba telecast in years

Thanks slap, I forgot to mention that. I found it interesting that just about everyone of them had two of the same balls with contrasting layouts. Takes some of the guess work out when you're dealing with the same coverstock. Although I could only remember one person going into detail about their surface adjustments. Someone had to take a cover anywhere from 1000 to 360 during the week.

Yes they use the Digitrax on the PBA. And Dino Castilo is the one running it most of the time. Thats how there determining what board each player is hitting at the arrows and 40 feet as well as speed and revs. You will hear Randy comment on it all the time

Last night, they specifically said CATs, maybe it was digitrax during the pba tour.

Not anywhere near enough,if you ask me. Why can't ESPN put the ballspeed and revs up in a little box like they do with pitch speed in baseball?

I recorded the queens event and finally got around to watching it last night.

I loved that whole in the bag section. It was so cool to see what the pros were using especially the one lady who used nothing but 4 gravity shifts but they were all drilled differently.
