I know it was only practice. Shot 298 with my Black Widow Solid. Kinda upset about it. I don't think I would have cared if I have thrown a 300 before, but I have never threw one. Came up for the 12th shot. I set myself up. Ball felt really good off of my hand. Got half way down the lane and thought to myself: "that's slow!" Went thru the nose and left a 3-10. Still upset about it eventhough it was practice. I'm starting to feel like I'm never going to get it. Never thought I'd get so upset throwing a 298.

Stop bitching,it could have been a 299. THAT would have pissed you off more,belive me. Look on the bright side,1)Most guys will never get close to a perfecto and you did get really close,and 2)You know you can do it,all you've got to do is toss the last one over again and get it right this time. Piece of cake.

First off congrats on the nice game. Secondly you were trying too hard to just hit your mark instead of just going out and executing a good shot, happens to me too on the later balls, I think of hitting the mark too much and not just letting it fall into place and I hit it but usually slow the speed down, learned that over time to just let it flow and the last time I got it. I know for the first one its hard to make everything shake in the same way which sometimes has a play on speed also.

That was the problem. I took a deep breath and relaxed. I kinda wanted to hurry thru the last few shots to get it over with. I think by taking my time on the last shot I threw my groove off.

Two years ago we were on our practice week and I did shoot 300 and that did piss me off. I strung six in the next game as well. 279 was as close as I got that year and this last year 266 was as close as I got.

Just got back from league. First two games were a 200 something, and a 212 or something like that. The last game I said to myself, "I'm gonna shoot the 3 this game." Got the front 5 and said to myself and my mom who was watching, "This is it, I can feel it, I'm gonna shoot the 3!" Came up in the 6th and buried it. Go up in the 7th. Threw the ball, felt exactly the same as the 12th shot yesterday, perfect off of my hand and then halfway down the lane I noticed it was a tad slow and left a 3 pin. The next two frames I was upset at myself so I kinda screwed up. The came back and struck out for a 251. Ended up with a 665. But, my team finished as league champs and won the rolloff, so I'm expecting some nice cash.

Couldn't figure out why everyone was sitting so far away from me. I didn't realize what was going on until after the first strike in the 10th. The guy on the left lane wouldn't bowl,he kept waving for me to go. I asked him what was up and he said he didn't want to be in the way. That's when I finally looked up and saw the score. Of course the first question I asked was,"Damn,who's got all those strikes?" Everyone pointed at me and then it dawned on me what was going on. I just rolled the last two without thinking. Just lined up and let it fly.

Man. I remembered the last time I bowled with a bad flu. I couldn't put anything on the ball. Came home and discovered that I was running a temperature of 103.5. Worst week of my life.
