Is it bad? I mean I do decent with it and I've been able to develope it. I just started bowling again this year and went from a 120 something avg each week to about 170, 180. I know that I'll get answer like it isn't a bad thing, if thats what your comfortable with then go for it. I went to this thing and I got to meet Brian Voss, Norm Duke, and Bob Learn Jr, and Voss and Learn both said I need to learn how to throw, i guess normal, don't know what to call it. So is it bad and are there disadvantages to it?

Nope, nothing wrong with being a full roller. Pittsburgh used to be full of them when I was a kid and rolled my summer's away up there. Go with it.

But are there disadvantages to being one though?

steelcity, there is nothing wrong with a full roller release. But I will say that with todays equipment and lane condition demands, you will take full advantage of the balls reaction. You will also change the entry angle of the ball into the pocket that will produce better power and striking percentage.

If I can take full advantage of all of that with a full roller release then why aren't there more full rollers. lol

I can actually see that being a reason. Thats why I've been trying to add more revs to my throw even though it's still a full roller. My track use to be right through the middle of it, now its more near the thumb.
