With the stated specs do you guys think the ball might end up as a heavy 13 once drilled? Ball is an Xcel Particle.
Top Weight 3 1/2 Oz
Weight 14lbs and 1oZ
Pin 3-4 Inches
Approx what's the weight change of a ball when fitting fingertips and a 1⅜" slug

When I drill something of mine it usally takes out a hair under 3oz. More if an x-hole is needed.

I agree wit Blue. Usually drilling removes 2-3 ounces of weight depending on deepness / size of the holes and an XHole is used or not.

So the chances are that after drilling and slug/inserts being fitted the weight will be more like 13:12?
If the ball weighs only 14lb 1oz undrilled does this make it a x-out?

It does not make the ball an Xout. And remember that when the ball material is removed from drilling , you are adding back and ounce or two wqith grips and a thumb slug. I would guess the ball will weigh around 13lbs.14oz. without a weight hole in it.
