ive always noticed my knee gets really sore. i cant figure out how to keep my knee from being so sore while and after bowling. there is definitely something wrong with my finish on my left leg. i dunno though

It's hard to see but I couldn't see much of a slide with the left leg. How far does your left foot slide at release? That could be the cause of your knee pain.

it does not slide very much and it probably is the cause of it. im not much for sliding a lot, never felt comfortable. i have balance issues as it is sometimes. this is one thing ive been working on is my balance issues. slowing down my ball and getting a smoother look instead of falling off to the right
if u want i have another video that shows my lack of a slide

When you don't slide all that force has to go somewhere. Newton's Eight and a quarter Law or something like that. End result is your knee is the weakest link in your leg. A bunch of us wear knee braces because of sticking at the line and popping a knee, heck even WRW wears one. I wear the same one as WRW,A Donjoy with a dual hinge at the knee. I don't have any problem getting my fat as....uh,butt down to the lane.

First and foremost keep both feet on the ground. At release you are bent over at the waist, and your right foot is up at head level. This robs you of a great deal of power and makes it all but impossible to get any kind of precision in your shot making. Bend your left leg and keep your right foot an the ground at delivery while keeping your torso mostly vertical.
P.S. After reading the other responses it should be noted that your knee pain, lack of slide, and balance problems are all symptoms of not keeping both feet on the ground and your body centered above them at the line.

thanks a lot acvar, i will definitely be working on that. thats is one thing i have had a lot of trouble with is shot consistency so i will be trying that out tomorrow during my pba x league.

IMO the amount of slide is not whats making the knee hurt. Its the twisting of your leg after you have released the ball with all your weight on it.

thanks a lot guys, i fixed my leg kick for the mean time. tonight i shot accurately and consistent in the pba x league :) keeping the leg down definitely had a huge effect on the accuracy of my shot

Although you may not have noticed it also has a big effect on your power. You should get quite a few more revs with a more stable base.

yes, i never experienced any of my usual problems with my release last night either. it all felt more put together. it made me more balanced and sure i did not throw the ball as hard which 100% fine by me ive been trying to slowing down. i was way more accurate with more revs and a smoother release without any of the usual things that might go wrong
