Ridiculous numbers....

I was looking at the state tournament standings today. The numbers are ridiculous. I'd have to shoot 803 scratch to make the TOP 25. Are you kidding?

Wanna make the TOP 385? Better shoot 717, which is at least reasonable. But there is now way I'd bowl a tournament that I'd have to shoot 900 to win. Thats right, 879 is leading singles(handicap). They don't have a scratch singles division. Miss more than once and you can go home....

Thats just a complete waste of bowling. I could possibly understand 803 to make top 5 and u lived in NY because theres a ton of amazing bowlers in NY but thats just outrageous.

I'm astounded weekly by some of the scores I see shot.......
By people who throw off of the wrong foot, throw with no thumb, don't aim at a target of any kind, wind up like they're pitching softball,,,, you name it

in the tournaments i usually bowl in there's upwards of 150 people in attendance, all shooting for the same spot. and of course a few of them will have a good day, and those are your tournment leaders

It's called a grooved move. They've been rolling with a particular problem for so long they've learned how to use it to their advantage. Give 'em credit,at least they've applied themselves and worked to overcome what could have been a disadvantage.
