saw the toxic this weekend at a sport tourny I bowled in but did not see it thrown...the guy was throwing a purple vibe everytime I saw him.....I think he came with the that designs the balls for ebonite......was a very very very tough shot...546 made the 54 person match play

Hammer300 do you live in Lafayette or did you just come in to town for the tourney? I was at the same tourney I live in Lafayette. He threw it (TOXIC) a couple of times hard to see what it would do on a normal shot since the pattern we were bowling on was 36ft. I talked with him alittle he said he just drilled it up the other day and hasnt really bowled with it. He also had the smashtime pearl. And yes he was with Ron Hickland who designs for ebonite. Did you see how Ron had his no mercy laid out, that he was throwing? It was weird

How was the No Mercy laid out?
PS-I grew up in West Lafayette, Red Devil class of '85 but moved to Texas before graduation...

I live in Frankfort about 20 mins from Laffy....If I remember correctly Ron's No Mercy had the pin way away from the finger holes....I could be wrong though I was never paired up close to him.....How did u end up doing btw and what were you throwing???

I think I know how Ron Hickland had that “No Mercy” drilled. Which is funny because I’m out here in California. Anyways Tony Reyes went to the kegel event out in Florida in October and Ron Hickland was laying out some No Mercy’s for him. I had the chance to help Tony at a seminar a week after the kegel event and Tony helped me lay out a couple “No Mercy’s.” He laid out a No Mercy the same way Ron did for him and told me to try it! I love it! (See pic below) I’m guessing it’s similar to the one Ron had but I could be wrong! The ball hooks as much as the #1 recommended drilling but it’s more of a smooth arc reaction instead of the skip/flip reaction that you get with the #1 drilling. I had a problem getting side weigh out of the ball that’s why there’s a big flare reducing hole. The plan was to have a side hole in the same place but a lot smaller. This is a sensitive drilling and might not match up to your game so take caution and discuss with your pro shop if you choose to drill one like this! :) :) :)

that might be what it was because I believe it had the thumb hole through the lable....I know it was way different from what my "no mercy" was drilled like.....funny how things come up like that from Indiana all the way out to Cali

hammer300 you know me we bowl together on thursday night in Frankfort, and Rons no mercy was similar but his pin if I am remembering was under his middle finger and alittle to the right (he is left handed) and then the heart was straight out to the left. I wish I would have gotten a pic of it but I think that was it. i will see if I can find out.

I know that's crazy! I guess it proves that "Hammerheads" stick together.

Anyone have any information on the Toxic? my pro shop owner's son is part of hammer and he said that it is suppose to be more forgiving than the pain which is already pretty forgiving he says. I ask him which is still his favorite ball and he still says the Ebonite Crossfire......hehe which i bowled a 289 with on tuesday and my first 700 with a 703 on wednesday night and a 715 with on thursday night. But he is pretty sure they are going to have the same forgiveness level.....just wondering what lane conditions the ball is best for and if you have any pictures or websites where to find out about the toxic i would appreciate it. Had my best week of bowling in my life cept the 289 was stopped by a solid 7 pin (and im a right hander).

Yeah. I second that. All I've heard is that it's not particle.
