I'm thinkin about gettin one...my BWP is fine, don't worry, but i need something the medium lanes out here. what do you all think? good call? if you want to see my release and ball reaction, you can go to youtube (i'll post the links later) and look up bowlingforstrikes...that's me...and look at the BWP vids i have. there's also a sharp blade video on there...but anyway (ADD kicked in bad)

psycho...good for medium (bout 35' ISH) lanes? if so, how shouldi get it drilled? skid/flip?

If the entire Raw Hammer line is any indication of the Psycho, it will over perform. I'd suggest a Cherry Vibe for medium honestly, I ended up getting rid of mine because it wouldnt work without some form of oil, it gets really snappy on dry. Plus a CV would be good for oil that short, but that's just my 2 cents...

Anger is overated for heavy oil little more than mid but not that close to heavy! good ball dont get me wrong my fav. so far but on my main house is mid oil and it is just right untill bout 3rd game

Psycho!!!! Wow this ball way overperforms for this price point!! Ill have video up soon. Got mine drilled up Wednesday night, threw about 10 games with it today. This ball is just straight up crazy!!! Any Questions that need answerd about this ball i will be more than willing to answer.

i dont like pin down stuff myself.....maybe its just me n my style maybe....all my equiptment has to be pin up mainly with 3 in or better pin

My anger is also SPEED SENSITIVE..

If I get my speed up I just turn around and get the spare ball, cuz its not coming back.

Dude, what's your PAP? If you're not a high tracker that layout could be close to max flare and just rolling out...I know my Anger isnt speed sensitive, and my layout is pin under ring finger and I'm a high tracker (I have some revs, but I saw a vid of yours once, and you crank, i dont)

I'd say add some polish to it and see what it does, because an Anger just doesnt forget to hook, I've never been on a condition that it didnt hook on (including PBA)

See when I got that drilled it was from a driller who is prolly the worst proshop guy I've ever met(Hammer staffer too).

He never took to time to find my pap, and didn't ask me how I wanted it drilled.

I don't really want to get it pluged and redrilled, because I'm thinking of handing it down to my little bro, but I'll try the polish I got some right here.

Ill throw some on it and throw a game or two tomorrow

Time and time again, people tend to just get a ball drilled by the specs, or a specific layout from one of the charts that comes with the ball. I currently use the Anger as my #2 ball, and I have the BWB as my #1. All in all, both balls are currently laid out very similar. As for heavy oil, yes I can use my Anger on heavy oil. There is about 4 boards difference between my Bite and Anger, advantage Bite. Now most people have the Anger laid out like it says it will react, start rolling early. Mine is more set up for skid/flip. and flip it does. As for the Pshyco, it looks like it is going to be an awesome hitting ball in its own right. I plan on getting one and yes I will have it laid out to get into its roll early, but also to finish hard. Next up for me is the new Venom. Talking with my Pro Shop guy (best in the business in my book) trying to figure out how we should lay it out to give me another option in my arsenal.

hmm, with your PAP it is right around 3 3/8ths, could be less than, which would mean that it would more than likely be rolling out because of earlier reaction
My Anger is a great ball, I love mine, I knew what my PAP was, and my driller let me just draw him out a layout cuz he trusted me to know what I was doing, and I did it and it hooks a ton, but I have a further pin to PAP distance, mine is right around 5 inches, with how rolly the Anger is, your ball is probably rolling out on you. I didnt know how much this ball loves oil until I threw on a fresh THS with it for the first time, it actually hooks more ON oil for me

I keep stressing this but certain balls do match up with everyones game. My Anger is my go to ball with a pin under layout. The Raw series always seemed to preform better with Pin Under layouts.

Tha Anger probably didn'tt preform as expected with some of you because it probably just rooled right through the breakpoint. That's where the earlier drill layout come is handy.

As to answer the question at hand, the Psycho is going to read the midlane better and have a strong break on the back through the pin deck. As per Mr. ussery, What we're going for with the Raw Hammer Psycho is a ball that's great on the all around medium conditions. It's going to get into a nice heavy roll in the midlane with strong continuation through the backend. But the Psycho will not be "flippy" in any way. It will be a nice controlled arcy shape. Thanks!

We all were at one time, I know all the stuff I just had proshop people layout without me knowing anything about the drill I absolutely hated and it didnt react for me (power groove, fired up, black widow solid...)

Yeah. Well i'm off the shop to get a slug put in there to fix the span issues, and getting it polished... I'll throw it in league tonight and see how it does

I got it polished, and the span fixed.

Its better, but I would still put it below my No Mercy and my BWP

I was on fresh and rather heavy pattern, so i wasn't able to swing, but it was hooking more...

I think with your PAP it is closer than 3 3/8ths which would mean a reduction in flare and an even earlier breakpoint

I know what you mean, that ball would be much better if it was drilled for you specifically. But on the other hand...me loves my Cell, I love that ball so much.

I hope they come out with a pearl Cell (pearl Cell cover with Cell block, not the effing gravity shift just cuz it has pearl cell cover...) I'd be all over it. I'm thinking about getting a second Cell and lay it out to flip like crazy (i have a 5x3 mass bias at 45 degrees, I wanna do one that is around 6x4, 2 1/2 inch pin buffer and mass bias at 70 degrees)

I still stick by my assessment with the Cherry Vibe, I think it is the better medium oil ball, or the Emerald would be good too.

Nice...since my track is back to normal, the MB is at 70 degrees, makes things much easier, but I really cant wait for the pearl Cell...:D
