The guy in Albuquerque said he'd drill my Vibe "stacked". Just curious what that means. I like how he drilled it, just not familiar with the lingo and whether I should ask the next ball driller to do the same.

Stacked...

Was it drilled from you PAP? If not stacked doesn't mean a thing.

Leverage is any Pin position that is 3 3/8 from you PAP.
Stacked basically places the CG under the Pin, which will require a weight hole.

what i know of it.... Cg to PAP is the same distance from Pin to PAP

if that makes since

earier term is what Tenpin said

Well, he did have my Messenger to take my grip from and find my track and
all that. He said he'd drill it stacked I thought. and there is no hole (other then the thumb and finger holes).
The ball goes long and then the blue vibe takes off left! It moves.

anybody saying leverage means the pin is 3 3/8 away from your PAP

so stacked leverage is 3 3/8 from Pin to PAP, and 3 3/8 from CG to Pap

I think I get it now, thanks Street racer. I guess that's what he did. If I knew how to measure it, i'd confirm it. This stuff fascinates me. When I left bowling, everyone just drilled them over the label. There was top weight and finger weight and stuff but not like this stuff today.

So what do the weight holes do? I guess I didn't need one for whatever reason. I'm guessing it helps smooth the ball out and it depends on how it rolls.

is stacked a common drilling technique? Is that aggressive, normal or kind of tame?

Weight holes reduce and increase flare depending on the position of the weight hole.

A weight hole inside of your VAL (line that goes upwards through your PAP) will increase flare, a weight hole outside of your VAL will decrease flare.

Stacked is a common drill. Most pro shops that dont bother to watch you throw and figure out your PAP will drill up something for you stacked if you say you want it aggressive.

Thanks blisters, makes a lot of sense the way you explained it. Thanks to all who answered.
