Hey guys, i'm not sure if this has been discussed before or not, but what exactly is the difference between the Emerald and Purple Vibes? All I can see is that the Out Of Box surface is different. So are these 2 basically the same ball? :(
I asked this question in a another thread and it was never answered...
My personal "conspiracy theory" opinion is a difference in cover stock. Either it's a tweaked purple's formula or the enhanced version from the doom. The general consensus was that the purple was squirty on oil. After throwing my emerald I don't see any of those properties.

Completly different covers. I dont beleive the purple was truly considered a Pearl. The Doom was the pearl version on the same cover. The purple Vibe was weaker on the back than the cherry and the cherry is weaker than the emerald.

I thought the emerald was longer and stronger than the Cherry?

I think that's what he said, just in a different way.
I want a purple vibe, but I guess I missed out on those. I've thrown a Cherry Vibe and it was just too strong on the backend for what I'd need.

Guys, I just got the answer from Jeff Ussery after PMing him on Ballreviews before. I will post the info I got once he gives me the approval in his reply (if he does approve). I'm sure he won't mind that I post it, I just don't want anyone to get mad lol.
The coverstock on the Emerald, I will say, is pretty darn strong.. it reminds me of a certain, recent discontinued green ball....
:p ;)
We pretty much nailed that one...
