Ok, I have all the Black Widow balls, and the Cherry Vibe. Going to probably get the new Venom, any opinions? My original and Pearl are drilled Skid/Flip, so they compliment each other well. My Bite is drilled very aggressive to come up early on wetter lanes, so should I get the Venom drilled similiar to the Bite so that I have a pretty versatile lineup? The Vibe is also drilled Skid/Flip to get down the lane on dry conditions. Any drilling opinions? Just want to have a setup that is ready for anything, thanks

All the Venom is is a pearl version of the Bite. So go by that, its going to go longer and give you more backend than your Bite does drilled the same.

I'll have to wait until I see the ball rolled. The BTM review of the Venom wasn't all that great in terms of comparing it to the previous widows.

I would say that you do compare it to the BWB you have, but lengthen the pin to PAP distance by about 1/2 to 1 inch. That will give you the long and strong feel that they are going for with this ball.

I dont think the Venom will be considered a pearl.

I got that info straight from my driller whos a Hammer staffer, he said thats all it is.

Ya I'll prolly drill it for an earlier roll. It sounds like it will have plenty of power, but I have two other pearls made to get down the lane more when needed. So this one can be my power pearl, then I think I will have a ball for almost anything

Both the Bite and the Venom are reactive coverstocks, just of a different composition. I got that from the guys making the balls.

Im thinkin of drillin on about 5-6 from PAP but I wonder if that saved for a weaker ball

Actually if I where to get a Venom, that probably what I'd as well. to complement my Bite.

My Bite is drilled 5 1/2" from PAP and MB is almost on the VAL around 3 3/8" from my PAP, which is around a 45* placement. It strong enoung to swing on the Shark and Scorpion. I've actually played around 19L (aka 21) at the arrows, the Shark just doesn't allow as much swing.

How is the Bite and Pearl drilled up, know you have one that the MB left of the thumb, not that one. Unless you want a smoother reaction out the Venom.

My Pearl was drilled to strong IMO, which I think made it squirty...

My Bite and (other) Pearl are basically your drillings but backwards. Bite drilled like your Pearl but, tons of flare, really strong. My Pearl, drilled like your Bite, but pin is closer to just over the bridge. My PAP is 4 1/2, 7/8 up.

Last time I checked my PAP was 5 1/8 over and 9/16" up.

Right now I don't think I have anything drilled in the 5" range so it might be best to try on a stronger ball like this.

Yeah, I'd probably drill the Venom pretty close to my Bite.

Thought about it last night, and I think I will do the same for mine. (High Flaring)
