Im New

Um my father has just bought a bowling alley and i bowl at least once a day
at the moment i only bowl around an average of 160 but thats with a straight ball
i have used spin balls so to speak before and i want to buy one
i have been looking at black widows
i was wondering wat anyone could recomend for me:p

Welcome aboard Kemo, Try posting in the main forum for ball advice. I'd also say look into getting some lessons if you want to learn how to throw a proper hook. The Black Widow line is great but for someone who is just starting out I'd suggest something less expensive, so you can try out different drilling's as you learn.

Yea i have been looking at getting lessons and have had like one. yea i was looking at like a black widow
but it is hard to see how i would bowl with hook as i have only ever bowled with straight balls:) :D

but even a straight ball you can give it some hook.
The coach will help you with that.
and instead of buying a high end ball right away which may not fit your style, you can buy a midrange ball for some less, that way you will spent a bit less money.

kemo, if u want to develop a hook, make sure its drilled fingertip. that will help SO MUCH.

Yea i have been using a fingertip straight ball which i can hook quite a bit
but i was told if a got a ball with an agressive hook i wouldnt be able to control it on the lanes at our center at all
i find it better to just bowl straight and at an angle at the moment lol:p

by the way it sounds its on very dry, so i would get something like a vibe or razyr to start off with.

I say start off with an Emerald Vibe, because you will learn to control it and it is a good ball at its price point.
